A tough few years has really started to take its toll on my face. I’m 32 and I feel like I’m starting to look worn. Lines rounds my eyes and on my forehead (from frowning too much!) and just generally not great skin - prone to chin outbreaks and dry patches on cheeks. I have to admit to being a bit of a novice with products. I use Aveeno moisturiser in the morning before make up and that’s pretty much it Shock

I don’t have loads of £££’s to spend, maybe up to £50 for a couple of products? Can any one recommend something to generally even out and firm up my skin? It tends to be quite reactive (tried the Biore watery essence sun cream after rave reviews on here and I ended up breaking out on cheeks and chin). Help! Smile

Escentual have up to a third off all of their French Pharmacy at the moment, if you have a look you should be able to pick up some really decent products at a good price. Avene, Eucerin, La Roche Posay and Bioderma are all good imo.

I would start by trying to get into a good skincare routine. I'm a big fan of Avene's extremely gentle cleanser, it's suitable for very sensitive skin and will be good for your dry patches. La Roche Posay have some good products for breakouts.

There are lots of people on here much more knowledgable about skincare than me so hopefully someone will be along to help soon.

Embryolisse 'lait creme concentrate' works miracles for dry sad skin without causing breakouts. I use it in winter when my skin gets dry as it's the only product which gives me soft happy skin without causing spots as it's the perfect balance between being light and airy but still hydrating. It's a French brand but you can get it in boots.

If your skin is starting to look a bit sad and lifeless, I can't reccomend khiels midnight recovery oil enough. You put it on at night and wake up with skin that's much more glow-y. It's pricey but so worth it

Thank you both for your replies Smile I popped into boots today and picked up the Embryolisse one. Also think you’re right MsAtomic, I’ll look into a cleanser as well when I have some more time as I was in a hurry!
