Help me find summer footwear for my big feet and injured ankle

Can anyone help me find shoes to wear with skirts this summer? I have loads of lovely dresses too but I lack the right footwear to make me look nice in them.

I have terrible arthritis in one ankle and both knees so I can't wear ballet flats or boots that need lacing through the ankle - although if they fitted well elsewhere I could wear them loosely laced.

I have size 7 feet and I easily look flat flooted in skirts. Heels are out of the question.

I am currently very comfortable in FitFlip trainers or Reiker furry boots. However these look too heavy for a skirt.

The soles HAVE to be very flexible and light or I start to limp so badly that I put my back out.
I have some white pumps from Hotter but these don't have the necessary flexibility so after an hour or so my ankle is hurting too much to walk.

I look to you, my S&B vipers, for the inspiration I need!
Thanks in advance.

Toms are very light and comfortable

I don't think the soles are flexible enough

I have arthritis in my ankles and more recently my feet, these Maisie sandals by Hotter are so comfortable (the straps have a small elastic insert which helps when my ankles/feet swell (size 7's too!)
Ecco are comfortable, as are Reiker.
Hotter will refund with no quibbles if you're not happy (I took back a pair of shoes after wearing them outside, four months after purchase, no receipt but could find bank statement showing where I'd bought them. Brilliant service!)

I have bunions, and wide feet towards my toes but narrow up towards my ankles. Finding shoes of any nature is a nightmare. I also need a padded sole and it absolutely has to be flexible.

Wasabi by Moshulu have ticked all my boxes. I bought in a size up so that I can wear them a bit loose as really I needed them to be a bit wider.

In previous years, the wide fit leather sandals by Footglove have been good. Very flexible sole, enough of a heel that they're not completely flat, wide enough and padded sole.

I know that I will be in Hotter sooner rather than later.

One of my ankles is held together by pins and plates so I can't wear heels, ankle straps etc.
I tried umpteen different makes and the Hotters I like suit me well.

Oh , sorry, should have said - narrow feet but size 7 so I tend to look duck-like in flats and skirts

I do like lots of hotter shoes.
It's the Mabel trainers I have (2 pairs of) but they aren't flexible enough, probably because the canvas is too stiff.

I lived in the Nirvana summer shoes for a couple of years so I'm looking for something else now.

My dream is to be able to get around in a pair of these Hotter Donna

You might be ok in Moshulu Wasabi sandals, OP. They are adjustable on the ankle to make them tighter, and I find them a bit narrow for my feet even on the loosest hole. They look good with skirts and they have loads of colours. I have the Blackcurrant and they look good. There is loads of flex in them.

I have size 7 feet, they're not that big Confused

I wear my fitflop flip-flops a lot in the summer, my clarks sandals, adidas gazelles, Skechers trainers (not the fugly gowalk style) with my skirts and dresses and I never look flat footed.

JeNeSuisPasVotreMiel · 18/04/2018 12:51

Tantric it's probably just the weird angle of my particular feet that make them look big / flat.

I can't wear flip flops of any description unfortunately.
