How to look summery in leggings/tights and long sleeves ☹️

I need help

I have a psoriasis on my arms and lower legs so I live in black leggings or tights all year and have to keep my arms covered down to my wrists which usually means long sleeve cardigans (3/4 length doesn't cover it).

Summer isn't too far off now and I'm already dreading finding anything nice to wear that doesn't get spoiled by black leggings/tights and a cardigan thrown over it.

I've lost any idea of how to wear colours which aren't black or shades of grey and I'm never sure if light or bright coloured dresses look daft with black leggings/tights.

I don't think I really have the style to pull off coloured tights and tan/natural ones don't cover my skin.

I'm size 16/18, large hips/bum and tum and small chest so I don't wear anything too fitted but it still needs some shape to it.

Can anyone suggest what to wear when the weather's nice, that looks summery and isn't all black or grey?

I got some lovely wide legged trousers from Forever 21 (cheaaaap), they are really flattering and comfy.

I usually wear them with a big tshirt and a thin cardigan.

Uniqlo is good for summery stuff that also hides a lot of skin too.

I know this is now what you’ve asked, but I know more about medicine than fashion! It makes me really sad to hear that you are suffering such psychological distress from your Psoriasis, which makes me wonder if you are under treating. Please speak to your GP, armed with the following information.

Monsoon have some lovely linen trousers in at the moment as well as some very lightweight cotton linen long sleeve cardis. All in very summery colours, would lighter colours be helpful so that any flaking is less noticable?
