Where do I start?

I have NO skincare routine. Nothing. Nada. My face gets water on it in the shower and that’s it. I never remove my (pretty minimal) makeup. I’m 40. I get a monthly massive hormonal spot. I look rough. Blush

Where do I start with products and an easy routine? I need stuff I can buy easily online and that doesn’t take hours to do everyday and I don’t want anything associated with a MLM company. I’m happy to spend a bit but if there are good cheaper range products out there that’d be ideal.

Oh wise women- Help!

Avene products are great.

I would get a cleanser, night cream and day moisturiser with a SPF if you want to keep simple.

What type of skin do you have?

Start with your health first!

Skin cleanser, a foaming face wash is good because it doesn’t involve faffing about with cotton wool of wipes. Cetaphil or something.

Then a moisturiser. Get samples (some companies have them online or just do a round of the counters in a department store). Find one that sinks into your skin quickly so you don’t have to spend ages rubbing it in or looking like an oil slick.

A clean healthy moisturised skin is your first goal. Then start thinking about doing tricks with anti aging prints etc.

anti aging products, not prints

I'm a big fan of the Superdrug Naturally Radiant range. Budget friendly and good for slightly more mature skins. Hot cloth cleanser can be used in the shower - one pump, spread over the face and then cloth warmed in lovely hot water to wipe off. Maybe three times a week use the glycolic acid pads (skin feels sooooo soft in the morning) and use day and night moisturisers from the same range. On offer just now so all four products less than £12. I'd add a nightly wipe over with a cotton pad and micellar water - lots of brands to choose from.

Thanks all.

The Superdrug Naturally Radiant cleanser is lovely. I love the Superdrug Simply Pure Serum as well. Even just using those two will make a big difference if you haven't been doing anything at all. Then if you still have any dryness use the Naturally Radiant Moisturiser too.
