Can anyone recommend a tinted moisturiser for white, pink-undertoned Scottish skin?!

I have that white Scottish skin with the tendency to redness/pinkness and blue veins.

I tried the Olay tinted moisturiser for fair skin but it looks a bit orange.

Is NARS any good?

Thank you!

I have the same skin (Irish) and I'm currently using Nivea daily Essentials + Soft Tint in "light". It's a little more peach than my skin but looks good - I've never found a tinted moisturiser the exact colour of my skin, because honestly it wouldn't be tinted, it would be the colour of skimmed milk.

This from eBay if you can wait for delivery!
The coverage is great, and its pale enough for my blue toned pale skin
The packaging has changed now and is in a tube

I went past a Kat Von D make up counter the other day in Debenhams and their foundation shades were the lightest I've ever seen.

light 41 or 42 look like what you're after colour wise.

I am very pale skin - fair - whitish skin and cheeks that go red, not brown / yellow tones and I really struggle to find base cosmetics which are pink based rather than brown based - most make me look yellow or like I have bad fake tan on even on the palest setting!

I have used BB cream from rimmel for a few years now with some clear powder over the top which works for me - I like very light touch makeup, my skin isn't bad and again as a fair person with fair hair too much just looks a bit clowny.

rimmel bb I get light - there is a very light option as well

powder doesn't give much colour does mattify, I use 01 there is a lighter one as well

This works for me - hope you get plenty of other suggestions as well!

My skin is also not as pale as it was,

When I stand next to my daughters in the mirror they look like dead white ghosts and I look positively brown!

So maybe age will help Grin

Btw have you tried Clinique Cityblock? It's sold as a sunblock, but effectively gives a light cover, evens skin tone, and suits pale skin.

BelleEtoile · 14/04/2018 19:22

Consider Chanel CC cream. It's a bit pricey but a little goes a long way. It also has SPF 50 My first tube lasted about 6 months.

I've very pale weather beaten skin, broken veins and dark circles and the Chanel CC cream makes me look less of a mess.

I've found it great as a primer under powder or foundation on the odd occasion I needed full coverage.

I normally use shade 10 and if I am wearing fake tan I'll use 20.

Gammeldragz · 14/04/2018 19:25

I use light bourjois cc cream under translucent powder and I'm very fair with pink cheeks. It looks darker on the pads I take it off with than it does on my skin, MIL hadn't realised I was wearing anything at all when I was explaining what I use.

Cheesymonster · 14/04/2018 19:28

I buy Garnier B.B. cream from Amazon because I can get a extra light version. "Light" in any brand looks orange on me. Particularly next to my snowy white neck!

ChickenVindaloo2 · 14/04/2018 19:30

under translucent powder

Do most of you use powder over the top?

I have been using bronzer instead of powder, maybe that's a mistake.

I use Rimmel translucent loose powder over mine.

I mourn the demise of my old Christian Dior powder in "Opal", the only non translucent powder that ever suited me.

KittTheCar · 14/04/2018 20:55

Oof bronzer is a no go for me, way too brown and dark, it looks great on olive skins but for me it's a no.

Maybe it's a different powder you need rather than what you're putting underneath?

Sounds like a possible way forward!

I use this by Caudalie and it's absolutely gorgeous, doesn't feel heavy and a little goes a long way:

Vinoperfect Radiance Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 20, #01 Light, 1.3 Ounce
