Grown up version of Simple skin care?

onemorecakeplease · 12/04/2018 17:45

I use simple skin care - cleanser and toner and moisturiser.
It’s fine but as I get older (38) I just feel it’s not doing me as much good. My skin is starting to look dry and spotty again.

Is there a better skin care range for dry sensitive skin that anyone can recommend please?

Thanks!

I like Avene, that’s unscented too, and they have different ranges. Or LRP also, both decent.

La Roche Posay is my favourite - hydreane cream. It's a bit pricier than simple though, unfortunately.

Clinique 'take the day off" cream cleanser

La Roche Posay and Avene both do ranges for sensitive skin and have good ingredients in them. There's a wide choice of products too so you should find a moisturiser/cleanser etc that will suit.

They sell both in Boots and often have a 3 for 2 offer or if you look online there's some good deals.

LRP toleriane dermo cleanser is very gently. Best removed with a wet flannel rather than hands as it's a cream cleanser. They do a Toleriane moisturiser too. I use the fluide one but it's for oily skin so probably not suitable for you. They do a richer version that might be good.

I was going to suggest Avene too. I’ve started using it recently and have had a few people comment on my skin looking fresh.

I used the cold cream soap to cleanse with a muslin cloth. Then the tolerance emulsion as a moisturiser. I bought the cicalfate cream to try on problem areas but have been using this after cleansing in the evenings as it feels so moisturising.

Thank you - I find that anything I have to remove with water makes me break out so tend to stick to cleansers with cotton wool

Will look at those suggestions thanks
