It's another sandal one!

Please help- I'm desperate!
I'm looking for some sandals but have very specific requirements. I need them to be super comfy for walking but not totally flat as this aggravates my plantar faciatis. Heel of about 1 inch fine though. I've had a few DVTs which have left one of my calves and ankle a bit chunky and they were chunky to begin with so I can't have anything with an ankle strap. So (for example) the saltwater sandals that always get recommended are 1) too flat and 2) fasten at the ankle.

Finally I'd like them to be nice! I'm only 46, but pregnancies late in life, DVTs, dodgy feet and general CBA-ness over the last few years has left me with a shoe collection that my 75 year old mum says are too old for her.

Has anyone seen anything that might suit? I'm desperate as we're going away in 3 weeks and I've got nothing.....

Marks and Spencer's, I find their ankle straps to be long enough to even fit round my ankle that I broke 4 months ago and still swells up badly

BigFatBloomers · 12/04/2018 16:51

How about Fitflops. I have pf and find them to be really comfortable.

PasDeDeux · 12/04/2018 16:57

Bloomers Slightly off topic but are you posting quite a few affiliate links on several threads? I am really curious if its actually allowed which is why I was looking it up, and discovered that Mumsnet sometimes does it automatically when people post links which I was surprised at. Not being arsey I am just genuinely curious!

Ollivander84 · 12/04/2018 17:24

I've been eyeing these up. Come in loads of colours and all the reviews say how mega comfy they are

BigFatBloomers · 12/04/2018 18:11

PasDeDeux I'm not posting affiliate links so perhaps MN is doing something with them. I've just had a couple of really boring days and a bit of work I'm avoiding!

ImNotReallyAWaitress · 12/04/2018 18:47

Birkenstocks?

LostInShoebiz · 12/04/2018 18:51

Probably failed miserably with clicky link but these are your dream shoe. Soft and stretchy on the ankle, small, sturdy heel and super comfy memory foam.

I have identical issues and have just bought myself a pair of Geox Respira Vega sandals in black. They also make them in a gold I think. They have a tiny wedge heel. Very very comfy and supportive and quite bouncy but not especially pretty (but that's alright for me because I don't do pretty shoes Grin).

Notonthestairs · 12/04/2018 19:23

Meant to add the leather is super soft and the strap is long so good for those of us with "well developed" ankles!

tethersend · 12/04/2018 19:29

I have about three pairs of these, they are amazingly comfy, springy and light. You can mold them to your feet by heating them with a hairdryer.

chimpandzee · 12/04/2018 19:38

I just bought these. So comfortable and they look great.

OP meant to add that I have wide feet and other than saltwater and birkenstock quite often find sandals really uncomfortable. These seasalt ones are really flattering and stay on really well.

cad186 · 12/04/2018 22:10

I was going to recommend the ones ollivander recommended from office. They are really comfy, I think I will get another colour for this summer. They also do the same style in 2 other heel heights too.

LayerShortOfALasagne · 12/04/2018 22:19

carvela comfort any good?

hopefullhelpful · 13/04/2018 00:41

hopefull - you're welcome Grin. I have feet ishoos myself and struggle to find decent footwear so do tend to cruise the internet regularly looking for things I can wear.

Wolfiefan · 13/04/2018 09:18

Off to look at these!

goose1964 · 13/04/2018 12:42

8 find Carvel's very narrow,I found that HoF own brand are plenty wide enough
