Misceller water

Can someone please explain this to me even though I think I’ve spelled it wrong. I am old and have always used eye make up remover, cleanser and then toner. Does this misceller water do all of the above? Do I only need one product now?

I just use it as a first cleanse - a good swoosh around to take off a fair amount of make up and daily grime (sunscreen plus urban living). I then follow up with a nicer cleanser - with the bonus that you need less of it so it lasts longer. Jobs a good 'un!

I like micellar water and have tried most of them.

I don't like the Garnier, brings me out in a rash

Thought I loved the Simple one till I tried the LRP one which I love and now I use the original Bioderma with the pink top which I love the most.

I don't use it everyday, but I like it for a quick morning cleanse or when I'm tired in the evenings.

Just be careful - I don't usually have sensitive skin or eyes but both the Garnier and the Simple versions made my skin react - the Garnier one was really painful when I used it to remove eye make up and I spent the rest of the day looking like I'd been smacked in the face.

You can buy most of them as a travel size to try out.

Simple brand one stings my eyes like a bastard! Garnier one’s good.

I use a rose one and follow up with rose water by Bulgaria rose. Switched to bar soap and ditched all the cleansers toners etc and would never use acids or anything. Skin is definitely much happier.
I get hormonal spots still, but they clear up more quickly now.

I would only use it as an initial makeup remover before a proper cleanse. Good as an additional step on days I've worn a lot of makeup but I wouldn't use instead of my normal cleanser.

I have given up my Eve Lom habit for Superdrug B.Micellar Oil and Micellar Water. Super cheap but so effective.

rightknockered · 12/04/2018 21:44

I tried it for a while and went back to actual cleanser. The micellar water made my skin react and tingle, I got spots. As soon as I stopped using it, my skin has been so much better.

SukiTheDog · 12/04/2018 23:16

I use the Garnier one to remove eye makeup. It’s really excellent, for that. However, I use a cream cleanser, rinse then again with a Foreo Luna. I wouldn’t just use the micellar.

Thanks for all the answers I’ll give it a try but still use a toner. I fancy the glycolic one from superdrug. Lots of input so thanks again

I've found the only micellar water that actually works in removing makeup and dirt and doesn't dry out my skin or need to be cleaned off is Caudelie. I didn't like any of the Garnier ones. Either too oily and still needing to be cleaned off, or dried out my skin.

joystir59 · 13/04/2018 06:33

Re cleansing skin- soap and water is fantastic. And why put all that crap on your face in the first place?

MinesaPinot · 13/04/2018 08:56

I use micellar water for first cleanse to take off face makeup only - I use a separate eye make up remover. Then follow with Clinique cleansing balm and a toner (using the Garnier Rose at the moment).

Weekends, or light make up days only, I can get away with just using the micellar water.

My current one is Uriage - I got a massive twin pack for a bargainous price in TK Maxx, but the Simple one (with the green lid, not the blue) is just as good IMO.
