Best high street foundations?

I’m looking to change my current foundation which is Bourjois Healthy Mix is something that has slightly more coverage but works well for super pale skin. Does anyone have any recommendations for something that might fit this but isn’t much more then £15? I did try a L’oreal one a while ago but it made me orange annoying 😒

Barry M ones are actually really good 😊

Collection 2000’s foundation is amazing!!!

I love it

Revlon colour stay is good, pale shades too

My favourite high street foundation is Maybelline dream satin liquid. Buildable and glowy and just lovely. A better colour on me than the Bourjois as well, which I could only really wear in summer when I had a bit of colour.

Or if N7 is considered high street then the Lift and Luminate triple action serum foundation is great and best colour match on me ever. (calico)

I like maybelline matte and poreless, it comes in lots of shades too. Not sure if it'll be enough coverage though.

I've just bought the B range foundation in Superdrug. It's really lovely and cruelty free.

A few weeks ago I swapped Healthy Mix for a Boots Natural Collection one and loving it. The Healthy Mix comes out too peach for pale me.

The colours on the link aren't a particularly good representation of the real thing, you'd need to go and look.

the ordinary coverage foundation is fab

Another vote for revlon- under £15, pale and great coverage!

(I had the same foundation as you OP and switched as I found even the lightest shade was looking orange-y on me). The Revlon one comes in 2 varieties too (same price) for oily or dry skin.

GiantPandaAttacks · 11/04/2018 07:31

Thanks for those! The Revlon one has really odd reviews online - it’s either fantastic or awful. Does it last well?

I swear by Max Factor Lasting Performance in shade 100 Fair. I've got very pale skin and the colour is perfect for me and not at all orange. It has great coverage (enough to cover small patches of psoriasis on my face) and lasts a night out or full day at work.

Bluesheep8 · 11/04/2018 07:47

Have a look in tk Maxx for mineral powder foundation. The shade ivory by Bella Pierre is good I switched to thus from bare minerals light and fairly light due to price and similarity of product and shade

I've got Revlon colour stay in Buff (not the palest shade which is a one-off for me!) it's okay. It gives medium coverage , is quite runny in the bottle, but it doesn't have any ''glow' about it. I use the one for normal/dry skin. It doesn't last all day, no. I also use Dior Star which has a slightly different finish and is light reflective. I use the Revlon one round the house but I won't buy it again.

Boots No 7 foundations in Calico are too dark for me and are also pink toned; they make my skin look grey.

MissMarplesKnitting · 11/04/2018 08:39

Just bought myself the ordinary coverage foundation. It's flipping marvellous.

I'm normally a healthy mix buyer but I was finding it oxidising more with this latest bottle.

The ordinary do it in neutral, yellow or pink toned too so you should get an excellent match. I am v pale and the palest pink tone is great on my Welsh colouring (dark hair and milk bottle pasty) skin.
