Eyebrow help!!

Hi,I am currently regrowing my eyebrows after years of over plucking 🙈. I have been going to see a HD brow professional since the new year and they are growing back....slowly! But I do still have a few gaps. So my question is has anyone used any product, successfully to help the hair grow back? The HD lady did mention castor oil? I didn't want to waste my money on loads of products that don't work. Thanks in advance 😀

I have spent loads on various products that would help my overplucked eyebrows grow back. Nothing worked...
Last year I took the plunge and had them microbladed. I love them! I actually have decent eyebrows for the first time since my teens.

Yes I have looked into microblading but still undecided. Thanks 😀

I’ve lost nearly all my eyebrows due to hormone therapy treatment for breast cancer, so am interested in this. Could someone tell me what microblading is? Is it like tattooing? Does it hurt?

bettyboo40 · 09/04/2018 21:38

I've had microblading. It does hurt but it's tolerable. You can apply a numbing cream which takes the edge off it. I love my eyebrows for the first time in many, many years. I've saved so much time not having to draw them on in the morning.

Do you mind me asking about how much it costs, and where did you get them done? Is it a salon or tattoo parlour job?

Sorry to hijack your thread @pinklady1981

Still - I had mine done with micropigmentation, single needle tattoo type machine

Also interested in hearing about this. My poor over plucked brows are so sad.

Stillnotready · 09/04/2018 22:57

I used to have lovely eyebrows and only ever plucked out a few stragglers, but since starting on the medication, they have almost all fallen out, so nothing there at all really.
I am quite fair so my daughters tell me it’s not too noticeable, and I have a good eyebrow pencil that’s the right colour for my skin tone, but I just feel self conscious if I don’t get the pencil out every day

I used Revitabrow serum before my wedding. I'm unsure whether it helped or not tbh, as I have had some regrowth in the overplucked area but might have had it anyway IYSWIM.

I haven't kept it up because it is pricey, although I'm thinking about trying it again. My issue is that for years I used to pluck the inner parts of my eyebrows. I was desperate to avoid a monobrow as a teenager and thought that plucking those sparse hairs where your eyebrows start would be a good idea. Not a massive area but maybe 0.5 cm off each brow. It was only years later that I realised this makes my nose look wider. One has regrow well but the other still has a little blad patch that I have to fill in.

Sorry
*regrown well and
*bald

Ugh so many typos

Castor oil has helped my seventies brows!

bettyboo40 · 10/04/2018 08:31

I think it cost about £170. I went to a woman who came highly recommended and worked from a tattoo place.
