I don't often see much that appeals to me in Cos but I love the cut and simplicity of this jumper.

drspouse · 10/04/2018 10:01

Don't forget People Tree!

GrainneWail · 10/04/2018 12:48

I found some nice cotton and linen in the Carolyn Donnelly range in Dunnes Stores today.

thefirstmrsdewinter · 10/04/2018 14:12

Just saw these on another thread: www.johnlewis.com/french-connection-bambi-knit-short-cardigan/keywest-coral/p3447048

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 10/04/2018 14:19

If anybody can find me a black cotton knit jumper, I'd be v grateful.

thedevilinablackdress · 10/04/2018 14:34

How about this Remus

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 10/04/2018 14:37

Yes - it's nice. In fact, I posted it in red on another thread and didn't even notice the black! Will go and try on, thanks.

Another vote for People Tree.

Also depending on your budget, the clothes in Poetry look v simple, and good materials. I've never ordered from there as can't stretch to it, but drool over the catalogue often...

PorridgeAgainAbney · 10/04/2018 15:20

Sorry I don't really have any links but just general comments (as haven't the budget to actually look at specifics at the moment Smile.
I find H&M really good for cotton and linen stuff. I never go in store as it's like trying to find a needle in a haystack, but online I find it quite easy to find natural shirts and trousers.
I found some plain vests in John Lewis that I'm going to add to as seasons/colours change; can't find them on the website, think they are £10. Website is easy to filter to find items by fabric though so loads on there that is cotton.
PP wanted some pj's - I buy mine from Sainsburys. The only ones I seem to find that are cotton are always in a pack hanging up, rather than free-hanging on rails!
Need to check out some of these links as the menopause is making itself known to me so only natural fibres are allowed into my wardrobe from now on Grin.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 10/04/2018 15:28

The John Lewis vests are excellent. I got a bunch of black ones at £3 each in the sale last year, and have worn them loads.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 10/04/2018 15:29

They are on the website, as tank tops.

domesticslattern · 10/04/2018 15:32

Great idea for a thread.
I discovered www.greenfibres.com this week, they sell cotton clothes which are organic and insanely soft. Nothing you could wear to work, but decent T-shirts, underwear, socks and pyjamas (also retro nightshirts). Bit more expensive than usual but I guess you pay more for it being all organic and ethically sourced. I bought some pyjama bottoms which are ridiculously a) long (and I am tall) b) soft and cosy. www.greenfibres.com/product/190/1348/womens-organic-cotton-pj-bottoms.html
I had never heard of them before.
Also I noticed more natural fibres than normal last time I looked in Jigsaw.

PorridgeAgainAbney · 10/04/2018 15:36

Thanks Remus - I'm always rubbish at finding stuff online!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 10/04/2018 17:35

Surely tank tops in England are knitted things, not vest tops. Silly JL - it's their fault you couldn't find them, not yours!

GrainneWail · 10/04/2018 20:22

Domestic, thanks for that link. What's the sizing like? I usually go for 12-14 in nightwear. Would medium be OK, d'ya think?

BikeRunSki · 10/04/2018 21:55

Celtic and Co for a small, but lovely, collection of cotton tops and wool jumpers.

margaritasbythesea · 11/04/2018 06:27

Pretty wool scarves at great prices. They have lovely kimonos too but a lot of those are viscose - modal. I have one though and it feels nice.

Frankiewears · 11/04/2018 07:18

Woolovers should have a mention-they do summer stuff too.

thefirstmrsdewinter · 11/04/2018 15:42

I just bought this from People Tree and it's a great fit as well as being really good quality: www.peopletree.co.uk/women/tamsin-playsuit
It's cotton knit (ideally I'm looking for a woven one) but it's thick, tight jersey. I tried those Me+Em ones (made of viscose maybe?) and they were too thin and stretchy but sort of heavy and saggy too.

domesticslattern · 12/04/2018 20:46

Hi Grainnewail
Yep, I would go for a medium if I were you.
Pretty generous in the pyjama bottoms- I am a 16 and the XL are too big. DD has a nightshirt which was hanging off her in a small, when she take an adult small in places like H&M.

BikeRunSki · 12/04/2018 22:28

I’ve had some big quality isstes with Woolovers though Frankie. I’d love to be told that they’ve improved since they put their prices up significantly earlier this year.
