Could a seamstress save this dress?

I love the colour, the neckline and I especially love the price but I'm not wild about the sleeves and I hate the jewelled bit on the waist.

Are you a bridesmaid for someone?

Would be easy enough to make it sleeveless, but with the jewelled bit it depends how well it is sewn on.

I would imagine that the dress would be damaged trying to remove the jewelled section.

It's a really cheap dress so likely to be glued on instead of sewed on? If damaged in removal could you replace with a contrasting chiffon belt?

I've been looking at bridal belts on etsy and amazon.

I can't zoom in close enough to see if the jewelled section is glued or sewn, But I think you're probably right @bitchywaitress that it will be glued on, So yes a wide chiffon or maybe lace belt would maybe cover up any damage.

What about a wide velvet ribbon/sash with a vintage style brooch? That could work...Depending on the colour of velvet!

Perhaps something like this but in more blush/rose gold tones?

The lady does custom orders so it might be an option.
