Has anyone had this done? Thanks

I had it done 2 weeks ago. The morning after it looked good - a 50% improvement I’d say. I was pleased and contemplated what else I might have done! But since the swelling went down - day 3 or so - I can’t see any difference. Not worth the money (or the anxiety) in my case.

Plus I had little finger tip size bruises on my cheeks where the canula went in. They appeared unexpectedly on day 5 when I wasn’t wearing makeup and then I had to deal with some nosy questions! (Not that this is relevant but it was annoying).

Treatment itself was fine, uncomfortable at times but not really painful, and over fairly fast. But, as I say, no real result.

Dang it. I'm saving for this treatment. My eyes are baggy after years of crying and no way could I afford eye bag removal Sad

My consultant said I'd be disappointed with the results unless I had a bit of mid-face volume first, as there's nothing there to 'support' the tear trough filler. I trust him, so I know he wasn't trying to up-sell me. He was just advising on how to not be disappointed.

Also think it’s a waste of money. Apart from the first 24 hours, I can’t see any difference.

A friend of mine had this done with AMAZING results. I went to see the same doc but was panicking a bit in case of swelling (DH would hate me to get anything like that done so wanted to do it on the sly - I know that's terrible). So I ended up being talked out of it because she couldn't (obviously) guarantee no swelling/bruising.
Doc was amazing, no pressure at all and happy to talk it all through with me.

So impressed with my friends results though, might just get it done anyway

Twer- the swelling wasn’t massively noticeable. Although I could see it, I doubt my husband would have. The bruises were noticeable and quite hard to cover but then I don’t wear a lot of makeup. If you’re good with makeup I’d say you could do it on the sly.

The hardest thing for me was sleeping on my back that night. I didn’t want to squash my fillers but am a front sleeper!

Polly - am considering a "spa weekend". Coming back looking fully rejuvenated thanks to a (pretend) fancy facial or three Grin

Yes I've had it done. The fillers didn't move into the troughs sufficiently and just sat there like two blue blobs. I did return to the clinic and they said that they needed massaging in. Months on I can still see them and I've also had a sinus infection to boot!
Personally I think that they were not put in deeply enough and were too hear the surface.

I had it done recently, the doctor said that she is very cautious on the first visit and 90% of clients return for a (free) top-up two weeks later. Go back if your not happy Polly and likewise ShootingQuadrantids they can dissolve and re-do if your not happy.

I had this done about 6 weeks ago now and I can't notice any difference really. Total waste of money and it wasn't cheap!

Trilogy18 · 10/04/2018 22:38

I had this done about a year ago and was very pleased with the result. It reduced my slight lower eye bags a bit because the area was more supported, filled in the groove below them and reduced the appearance of my dark under eye shadows because of the layer of filler on top.

The filler needs topping up now and I have booked myself in without a second thought. Not cheap but very well worth it.

I had it done nr Harley St and it cost £750. I'd not let anyone other than an expert/ dr touch the area near my eyes. It was okay. She told me I'd get 50% improvement and that was the case. It lasted for about 6 months compared to 12-15 for cheek fillers. I've not had it done again but am thinking about it.
