Need to slow down the ageing process

LoxieRose · 06/04/2018 06:44

I'm 25 and have faint lines on my forehead and around my mouth. I think crows feet are also starting to form around my eyes and my skin isn't as fresh looking as it once was.

What things can I do or what products can I buy to slow ageing down?

2 things:

  1. You can't slow down the ageing process - it's like a tsunami and it's coming to get you. Botox is the only thing that can help
  1. You are 25. TWENTY FIVE. For the love of God woman, you are practically an embryo. Go out and shag lots of handsome young men and build a fabulous career that pays you a fortune and stop looking at your non-existent wrinkles in the mirror.

You're getting faint lines because you're 25 and that's what happens to skin. It happens to us all, I'm sorry!

Wear sunscreen every day, sunglasses to avoid squinting, investigate good skincare (recommend Sali Hughes) and otherwise, enjoy being 25!

Avoid the sun
Don't smoke
Lay off the wine
Drink more water
Eat more fish
Get more sleep
Don't have children
Try not to ever move your face again ever.

Zachary has given you great advice, especially the last 2 points Grin
I'm a decade older than you and have been using face cream with sunscreen every day since I was 19, I think that's the most important thing.not smoking and little alcohol will help, too. Botox can't hide the damage done by your lifestyle, and it doesn't stop the ageing process either.

Get fat: it hides the wrinkles a treat.

I mostly agree with upperwallop Grin

You are very young.
But you might want to consider retinol containing cream. I buy an organic brand with 2.5% from Amazon (not available in shops locally). Retinol does actually work, but it’s also fairly irritating if you have sensitive skin and you have be very careful to use it only once a day (or less) at first until you see how your skin reacts as it’s basically like a continuous mild skin peel - but in imo the results are worth the effort. I have been using retinol cream for more than 15 years (on and off, not continuously as my skin is very sensitive to the effects), I’ve just turned 50 and (IMO anyway!) look much younger than many my age. I have 3 faint forehead lines and slight crows feet when laughing. I use the cream on my hand and neck too.

I probably should have put it in my OP but I do have a 2.5 year old. She completely exhaust me.

There's lots that could be in the OP to help. Dry skin or oily? Smoker or not? Budget? Time?

LoxieRose · 06/04/2018 08:59

Combination skin, non smoker, no drugs or alcohol eithet.

Can afford up to mid range products.

I'm a single mother and a fully time student so quite busy of that's what you mean by time?

Zachary- you have solved the holy grail of skincare. You should teach that in schools as a public service. Smile. Op, you're 25, you're gorgeous. Do Zachary's list. That's all you can do or else you'll look like the generic 40 plus botox robot.
