Just stuff for wearing every day on the school run, dog walking, going to lunch, supermarket etc that isn’t frumpy but isn’t OTT try hard either.

I am 31, size 10, 5’2”. Don’t worry about budget, I just want to get an idea of a look I can pull off at this stage.

Bit boring but my every day look is black skinny jeans, black top and then some type of bold accessory like a coloured biker jacket or bright heels, interesting bag, big earings etc.

I was reading a blog yesterday about getting the basics right so that you always have something to wear (rather than a wardrobe full of clothes but nothing to wear for everyday). So yesterday I word grey skinny jeans, black merino jumper from Uniqlo which fits really well and isn't too long (I'm only 5'1"), black ankle boots and a patterned scarf as I was chilly. Hair in a ponytail.

Usually I wouldn't have gone for that as I would have thought it was boring, but actually I felt quite well put together. I think with a better jacket (maybe leather biker?) and a good necklace if I wasn't wearing the scarf, it would be a really good outfit.

I find it hard at this time of year as the weather is changing and I prefer winter clothes but it's too warm now for my really cosy jumpers!
