I've bought this today - nice and light and commodious . Anybody else have one?

I’ve got the short seafolly coat and it’s fab. Light, comfortable and properly waterproof. Quite flattering too.

I bought this last year after looking round for ages - it’s a comfortable light raincoat for spring. I went down a size for a better fit. Particularly like the drawstring waist feature which means you can emphasise a flattering shape. Also I have short arms and it’s easy to turn up sleeves and make this a feature. It’s longer than most, and dips down at the back, so looks more of a full length than a jacket.

The hood is easy to keep up in strong wind. You will stay dry in rain.

I bought the citron as I was feeling brave and wanted a change from dark winter colours. It’s a lovely spring colour, and something a bit different. There are enough features on the garment for it to look pricey - which it is, but will last forever.

Well I wore it today for the first time and am totally in love. Warm but not stifling, very dry, very light to wear.

I have the kellifray and I love it.

Yes , I have a navy Janelle mac and a cinnamon Encompass mac both bought for half price in the Next Clearance, they are both lovely, warm and waterproof

Thought I’d ruined my Seasalt Porthchapel mac today. I was involved in an incident which left blood over the front of the citron mac which had dried by the time I got home.

After googling I immersed it in cold water them rubbed gently with a white cloth. The blood simply lifted out, the mac is now perfect again.
I am very impressed, the fabric is amazing, worth every penny.

I've got a black Janelle from John Lewis' sale. I have worn it all winter. It's an excellent coat. I would buy another Seasalt in a flash.

NorthernLurker · 04/04/2018 22:37

Chucked it down here today and my mac was dry and cosy. Tbh really thrilled with it. Good to see others have found the same. Sorry about the accident Laura, hope you are ok.

Yes, I've got the Porthchapel Mac. Bought it in black (cheapest colour) in the sale at the start of the year.

I love it. At the time I wasn't sure about black as I thought it would be a bit dull, but I wear it pretty much everyday as it goes with everything. I do wish the lining was a bit more exciting, but I'm so happy with it.

I also have a Hellweathers (?) mac, and a Seafolly jacket, but rarely wear the latter. I much prefer the light material of the Porthchapel and Hellweather-type macs.

BobbinThreadbare123 · 05/04/2018 14:02

I've been looking at that Hellweathers mac today - I am tempted. I work on a very rainy and windy site but there are occasions when it isn't heavy coat weather (June/July LOL). Is it light enough for spring/summer (i.e. I won't sweat to death in it)?

oohyoudevilyou · 05/04/2018 14:11

Yes, the mac with toggles - poss Seafolly? In green. It's nice but I wish I'd got one that is ermm, not as green.

Trashcanoracle · 05/04/2018 19:52

Bobbin I've got the Hellweathers. It's a perfect light weight for wet summer days.

Thanks Trashcanoracle, you have helped to tip the balance towards buying it.
