Perfume Parlour good idea?

In theory it seems a great idea; no expensive packaging and marketing but will I be awfully disappointed?

I thought I'd try my 4 favourites in 10ml oils. I love Jo Malone PN and EP plus a Tom Ford.

Any thoughts would be welcome.

Yes definitely, I can't tell their Bronze Goddess dupe apart from the real thing.

rainbowgrimm · 02/04/2018 07:37

Love them, get a fragrance dust for an oil burner. My house smells like Jo Malone constantly. I prefer the sprays to the oils but that's just personal preference.

ohwhataday · 02/04/2018 07:37

Great, thanks. Do you use the oils or the spray?

Bit hit and miss in my view. Try a small size and see what they do well. I havent found anything indistinguishable from the real thing yet. But i do have lots thats good - I prefer a slightly different copy of a great scent to most premium but imo nondescript scents. I did chuck my dune copy which just stank. But theres something that registers as stink to me and on me. And definitely go for the dust if you like home scents

Puppylucky · 02/04/2018 12:27

Love them -I use the products to expand my perfume experience by picking niche and discontinued scents. I tend to judge them on their own merits rather than as copies - half the time I haven't tried the original anyway!

ohwhataday · 02/04/2018 13:08

Thanks. I'm going to place an order for some small bottles of oil and will report back.

Thought I would try these but can't seem to find any Chanel ?

mrsreynolds · 02/04/2018 14:54

I will never buy YSL opium again
The PP version is indistinguishable to my nose
They arent all great...the obsession and addict were hideous
Just try the 3ml roll ons to start with

neveradullmoment99 · 02/04/2018 15:28

The pomegranate noir is totally like the original. It is gorgeous.

neveradullmoment99 · 02/04/2018 15:29

I have the sprays though and don't have the oils. I would buy the PN again its that good but I bought quite a big bottle from PP.

Monkey44 · 02/04/2018 15:33

speckledyhen i think they have renamed the chanel ones, I struggled to find them too but think fabric for women, faint for women are the coco mademoiselle and chance ones based on the notes/ reviews etc

OCSockOrphanage · 02/04/2018 15:54

If you look on the perfume threads, there's a guide to the PP Chanel dupes which has been reposted several times. But Chanel are fairly hot on chasing them down and out of the game. The Sycomore dupe is good, if you like the scent; haven't tried any others.

twilightcafe · 02/04/2018 20:35

The PP dupe of Tom Ford Neroli Portofino is a dead ringer and lasts longer than the original.
The only Jo Malone dupes I didn't get on with were Red Roses and Blackberry and Bay. Both smelled like fly spray on me. But they may work better on another person.
As a previous poster said, see how you get on with the mini sizes and test the scents on their own merits rather than as copies.

Licencedtodrill · 02/04/2018 21:17

I am tempted to try them. They have a dupe of the original Fendi, which is now discontinued and is probably my favourite perfume ever. Will probably try a small spray bottle of that and maybe a couple of others that have had good reviews.

LibertyBlue · 02/04/2018 22:47

More hit than miss. Just wait for the opening to settle down before judging.

I purchase sprays rather than oils now

SpeckledyHen · 03/04/2018 08:37

Thank you Monkey and OC . Found and ordered .

wishiwasacollie · 03/04/2018 08:44

Can you use the oils in a burner to fragrance the house? If so do you just add to watwr. I have woodwick lamp things that i use wax melts .

wishiwasacollie · 03/04/2018 12:37

Or is fragrance dust better......if so how do you use it

LemonadeWithACherry · 03/04/2018 13:14

I like the sound of the fragrance dust. It says you put it in an oil burner with a tea light. Can anyone recommend some good home fragrances in the dust? I have never smelled any Jo Malone or Dyptique but would like my home to smell gorgeous and expensive!
