I’m thinking it fuck it, this year I’m getting my wobbly thighs out!

I’m 38, size 10, pretty decent figure but I’ve got cellulite from my knees up and despite trying to tone up,my thighs are very wobbly.

I haven’t worn shorts since my early 20’s and my go-to in the summer are hareem type trousers, dresses and skirts.

I really just want to be able to chuck on some shorts and t shirts though. I’ve tried knee length ones and they just don’t suit me.

I’m thinking of just buying mid thigh shorts and trying not to give a shit anymore. I’m 38 for goodness sake, why do I even care about a bit of jiggle.

Does anyone else just not give a damn?

I did the same last summer, size 10 but always had wobbly thighs, always hid under leggings or longer dresses, last year I got some shorts and felt liberated! Good for you Op.

Can I just say stop with the 'just put on some fake tan on' comments. That's no better than telling people to hide wobbly flesh. I have very pale skin, there is nothing wrong with my skin tone and if I use fake tan it looks, well, fake. I was 'encouraged' to put it on my legs for a relative's wedding and my legs look exactly the same as ever but orange. They looked ridiculous, I never wore it again.

And actually that lecture I got about my white legs (I'm also a size 10) shows exactly why peoe have hangups about our bodies. In this world that has the Daily Mail sidebar of shame no wonder women worry about the way we look.

What kind of crap fake tan were you using if your legs looked orange? 🤔

Anyways, you can't come on and say people have to stop with something, what are you thr queen of mumsnet? For many of us we do feel our legs look better with a bit of a decent fake tan on. That doesn't mean there is something wrong with pure white ones. If you're happy you're happy, but you can't tell the rest of us we should be. If we want to wear it and feel it makes our legs look better in the summer, then we will. Whether you like it or not.
