Hair straightener advice, please

Three questions for you lovely ladies (and men?)

  1. What do you use to clean your hair straighteners?
  1. What do you use on your hair to protect your hair from the heat of the straightener?
  1. Is there anything that you can spray/rub on the straightener itself, to protect the hair before using the straightener?

Many thanks 💕🌟

so i said there would be more people on this board who would answer you! sorry!!

(1/ i still think that you should use surgical spirit, cotton wool, and have them a little warm, but not hot)

Thanks @EveningHare 💕

I've been googling and there is such a lot of conflicting information. I've tried surgical spirit for the cleaning (today) and it seems to work quite well - I was worried it might affect the plastic, but I don't think it has 😊

  1. Wilko anti bac wipes because my foundation seems to get onto my straightener
  1. Presently Tresemme Heat Defence but my next purchase will be Lee Stafford's one as that is supposed to be the best of them.
  1. Not heard of that

Ooooo Lee Stafford? I saw that one in Boots. Thank you.

I find that Amazon reviews confuse the heck out of me - maybe I should stop reading them 😂

I use the pink bed head after party to protect my hair. It’s not designed for heat particularly but has worked well. I wipe my straighteners with some wet cotton wool occasionally.

Thanks @Caulk 👍
