Tear trough fillers

Has anybody had tear trough fillers using hyaluronic acid? If you did, were you happy with the results, how long has it lasted?

I'm thinking of having this done as i have eye bags/dark circles combo and look tired even when I'm not.

Yes and yes. But it only lasted about 4-5 months. I would recommend you only see someone very good. I went to Dr Mountford in London - she's rated as one of the best. She was very honest and told me I'd get 50% improvement. They have to be very careful as it's near your eyes.

I was very pleased. It stopped me looking tired and I'm thinking of having it done again. But it's £750 with her so that's a lot of money for the time they last.

I've had cheek fillers too (not at the same time) and they lasted about 15 months. Not had anything done for a few years now. The downside is that once you start, you have to keep it up to get results because it is only temporary.

Haven’t personally had them done, but I think you should go in expecting a minimal difference from what I have seen. As in you’ll still have undereye hollows but they will look marginally better - so go for it if you’ll be happy with a slight boost.

I think I'd say it was more than marginally better . On a scale of 1-10 it was 1 when I went in and a 6/7 afterwards.

I'm going tomorrow to get mine done...gulp! Never had it done before (or any cosmetic procedures for that matter!)

Had mine done recently, was pleased with the results, certainly more than a marginal improvement.

Thank you for your replies.

I think I'll go for it next month, I'm fed up of looking tired! I've been thinking about if for a longtime but I've never had any treatments before and am a bit wary.

Thanks again.

Had it done today. I can see a difference already, particularly on the side of my face that was worse. I have a couple of little bruises where the canula went in and am a bit sore high up on one cheek, but I reckon it’ll be pretty much fine in the morning.
Apparently it will improve over a couple of weeks so I’m hoping to get a bit more improvement than that which was immediate (and which I think is already more than marginal).

Oh, and I was very scared, it hurt a little, but really was ok overall.

Fillers are amazing. Cheek only in my case, but I'm hooked. Now I have started, I'm certain I can tell when people have had it done. I think there's a lot of much younger women (20's) having it done. Much more obvious when the lips are also done.
