Peels/acids? Where to start?

Hi everyone- looking for a bit of advice about what acid/peel product I could use at home? I'm 34 and think recent stress and kids and lack of sleep are starting to take their toll.

Skin is fairly clear but can be dry/sensitive in places.
Fine lines and dullness around eyes
Feel skin getting deep wrinkles because I frown so much, to forehead and '11's'.

Any recommendations? I may well try Botox when I hit 40, but don't want to go down that road just yet.

I'm sure people will have recommendations, but have you come across Caroline Hirons? She does a cheat sheet for acids - basically explains what skin type or problem each acid is for. I think it's on her blog.

I'm suggesting Paula's Choice exfoliators

I am using Dr Murad exfoliating wash at the minute - it was a freebie when I bought his retinol. It has glycolic, salicylic and lactic acid in it. I left it on for 5 minutes to get more of a treatment and was impressed.
You definitely should consider retinol.
I think the ordinary is shit - well, for me it is. I really rate Murad and the website always has offers on.

I started using Glycolic pads about 3wks ago (Superdrug ones £5.99 which are amazing). I do have some of the Aldi ones which are good aswell. For the past 2 wks after watching Caroline Hirons, I also purchased Indeed Retinol Reface & it has transformed my skin! I’ve been using about 3 times a week. Make sure you get an SPF (So many recommendations but I ended up with Clinique City Block spf40, happy with it but will also try The Bodyshop Skin defence next as that also has fab reviews). I’ve since bought 2 more the the retinol reface as it’s on offer in Boots for £13.33...bargain!

I’m 46 with classic combination skin. 😀

Indeed Retinol reface is really good and you can see and feel the difference quite quickly

If you're starting anything with acids, please make sure you get a great sunscreen and wear it every day.

Start very slowly, once or twice a week and build up usage. You'll need to up your hydration levels as well. I highly recommend a hydrating toner - very different from a cleansing toner.

Popular brands are Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner, Secret Key aloe toner, Klairs Supple Preparation Toner, Whamisa toner. All on eBay (from Korean sellers), some UK stockists are available. They make your skin feel so soft and help with the fine lines which are mostly there because of dehydration.
