DD's skin

DD1 is 12.5 and in the last 6 months or so has really started to suffer with spots. I'm sure this is down to hormones kicking in etc-she has a fairly balanced diet and I'm encouraging her to drink a lot of water. I have made sure she has gentle cleanser and witch stuck and that she uses them regularly. I didn't think it prudent to overload her young skin with further product but if anyone can suggest anything we are open to it. Or What else can she do?
The spots are usually in her T zone and on her chin and show up as quite large and a bit pus filled. She is really sensitive about it.
I'm struggling as the one thing I didn't have growing up was problematic skin. (Had plenty of other appearance issues to make up for it Smile)I've probably had about 10 spots in my life all cleared up over night with a bit of witch hazel. Her Dad suffered with terrible acne as a teenager and has facial and back scars as a result.
Can anyone help? She seems so young to have to be dealing with this-all her friends still have clear skin and it's making her really self conscious.

Oh your poor DD. Take her to a doctor or dermatologist if you can. I suffered with acne from about 13-14 before my parents took me to the doctor and although it felt excruciating at the time, looking back I'm so glad they did because I have clear skin now and no scarring.

I would take her to GP if it's bothering her. My DD 14 still has some spots but until JanuY had dreadful acne, particularly on her forehead. We started treatment from GP in October and tbh she wasn't great st remembering to apply it. Got some advice from a therapist with nutritional training and in January she began a couple of food supplements including fish oil and her skin is remarkably better. Both I and her dad suffered from severe acne so she didn't have much hope......
