Anyone got Schuh own brand Birkenstock copies?

I have been planning to get some birkenstocks for the summer due to having plantar fasciitis and hearing great things about them.
I went into schuh today to have a look, and found that they do their own brand similar ones for a lot cheaper.
I compared the shape of the arch support etc and they seemed pretty similar, they felt great on (although I didn’t try on the birkies) and I preferred the design.
So just wondering one the whole, if anyone has them and can they recommend them for helping PF?
Thanks.

Hi Eminybob, I don't suffer from PF but I've had 2 pairs of the schuh birkies in the past (albiet 6 years ago) and they were fantastic. Just as comfortable as the real thing and in my experience just as hard wearing.

Thank you that’s good to hear!

If you find you do end up wanting some 'real' Birkenstocks, check Schuh online Oct/Jan time, they often have the sandals really reduced and that's when I got mine - had to save them to wear in summer though!

Thanks for the tip Smile

I would go with the real thing. I have had copies and they have not worn as well. Cost per wear and all that is a consideration.

I would suggest looking on Amazon warehouse as they regularly turn up there for much less money.

My original Birkies were bought in 1994 and I wore them regularly for 20 years. I got rid of them because I couldn't tell what colour they were anymore. The schuh copies I bought to replace them fell apart after a couple of years. The next replacements were real Birkies.

Ah ok. I guess paying more will save money in the long run.
The key thing will be how long the arch support stays supportive. I have orthotics which only last a few months before they no longer work, and I want to make sure the same thing doesn’t happen with the sandals.

Birkenstock had £10 off when you sign up to their email the other day when I bought mine, probably still on now.
