Hi all,

Currently live in the tropics and travelling home to the UK for holidays in Sep. Can anyone give me some good style advice ! Normally come home at Christmas so just wrap up warm and try to survive. But this time of year might be more challenging. Was thinking of investing in this but it's a lot of $$ for something I'll rarely wear here. www.cue.cc/Shop/Product/Zip-Front-Leather-Jacket-Q40008-S17/326453
Any advice ? Want to start pulling together a capsule wardrobe.

I assume you’re in Oz, in which case I say: wait and shop when you get here! Or at least wait until winter sales at the end of australia’s Winter. Cold weather clothing in Australia is frightfully expensive and things like boots just do not last in the weather here!

Yes in oz, not a good pressure shopper ! So don't mind picking up a few bits. But ideally would like to have as much sorted as I can. Have a few key things ..... but just trying to expand on that.

Where abouts in the UK are you coming to? Cold weather sets in earlier than down South. Scotland even more so.

*sets in earliet in the North of England that should say.

From London to an island off the west coast of Scotland ! So I am thinking of layers ......

I layer with a white vest, long sleeve t shirt and a sweater, cashmere is warm and cosy , useful for the flight maybe too where it can be chilly at times. If September is cold this means you can keep on or take off as necessary, a decent raincoat with hood would be useful .

Layers. You can get chilly breezes or heatwaves in sept.
