I hate wearing hats, have a fat face and a fat body to go with it, but I ALWAYS get a burnt scalp and I think it’s getting a bit silly now. Any tips on how to look good in a sun hat, or even some examples would be very gratefully received! Thank you

I'm thinking of getting a straw fedora, just because I find big brims difficult to handle unless on holiday. But suspect I might look a bit of a prat

But I'd look less of a prat in a fedora than a baseball cap

I have a straw fedora. I have to buy men's as my head a huge.

Rock the look. Believe in yourself and don't try too hard...just let the hat sit comfortably.

We think we look weird in hats because we're not used to seeing them. But in fact everybody can look good in a brimmed hat. The right brim balances out a broad face, and enhances a narrow face.

Go to an outdoorsy shop, like Cotswold, and try on lots of diffferent brimmed hats in different sizes until you find a style that you like. Take a friend for a second opinion, if that would feel better.

Cotswold (or similar) for a practical hat, Accessorise for a fashion hat, John Lewis (or other big department shop) for elegance.

Personal favourite brand, Tilley. Practical, indestructible hats, that can be dressed up or down.
