Is there any hope for this coat? (Pics attached)

My mum has a coat which belonged to her sister (sadly no longer with us). It's an original Jaeger camel coat.

Unfortunately it has a few marks (? Mould) - have attached picture.

Would these dry clean out? I don't feel I can donate it to charity with these marks, but would feel bad just sending it to recycling.

Any ideas or suggestions?

What have you got to lose by dry cleaning it £15 at most. Send it to a decent one- Johnstons i find have always done a great job - got lily pollen stain out of a wool tweed coat successfully!

Those marks looks like a broach has leached on to the fabric. So it may be metal residue rather than mould?

I think even if the marks don’t come out it would sell in a charity shop

Thanks for taking the time to comment; I've had a closer look & think you might be right about them being from a brooch.

My mum was hoping I'd be able to sell it on eBay, but I think that could be a difficult transaction, between potential for "not as described", postage etc.

I guess I have to decide whether to pay for it to be dry-cleaned & sell it, or donate to charity.

I think my mum would prefer it goes to someone (if that makes sense).

It's gorgeous with or without marks!

That would sell in an instant in a charity shop!

What a beautiful coat!
Take it to a dry cleaners and see what they think, then pop it on eBay. Even if the marks don't come out, as long as you're clear in the description about the marks and clearly photograph them it should sell.

Another option is sell to a specialist vintage clothing shop. There are loads popping up all over the place as vintage clothing is really popular at the moment.

That's a gorgeous coat! I love the detail on the sleeves...
