Curly girl method for beginners

Hello all

I've always hated my hair, for my whole life.

It's frizzy, I've lost the few more defined curls I had as I've got older and it's thinner now after two children.

I've heard briefly about the curly girl method, has anyone found it successful who would be able to explain the method to me?

The main issue is that I really have to shower in the mornings to wake up although I don't mind doing whatever needs doing to my hair in the evening. Wouldn't it just refrizz in a hot shower?

Go to a website like British curlies and identify what type of curl you have, and follow their advice.
I wash with just conditioner, which leaves it feeling clean, then use several products that I got on one of the curly websites. I looked for products which people with my type of curl recommended.
It’s all about not using detergents and some of the chemicals found in main street brands.
There are also a few tips like not towel drying your hair, as you need to leave the moisture in your curls, and always drying naturally.
I’m white, but if you’re black and have relaxed hair there is a whole process of gradually growing and cutting out the perm so you have your natural hair.
My hair , which I’ve always loved, was beginnning to really lack curl, and to frizz, but since going Curley girl it is back to bouncy ringlets.

The whole process is a bit confusing at first, but it’s great once you wrap your head round it. Crap unintentional pun, sorry
