Do you find it weird/strange when someone buys ALL of their clothes from one store/brand?

Just that really ^
I'm curious to know if people find it strange, one of my good friends religiously buys from one store..it is highly unusual if she wearing something not from that brand. Wondered what people thought of this, as it is just such a different way to how I shop - I have a cupboard full of many brands and labels with a couple of favourites

I like a store for a couple of years then move on as the cuts / styles seem to repeat and there's nothing new or different.

I hate stores that seem to buy enough material to cover the world then make every type of garment out of it. Eg fat face.

I shop in three stores only COS, J Crew and Whistles. I find shopping a bit boring and going to a Shopping Centre is my idea of hell.

Only people without natural style do this

Pretty much all my clothes are from Primark. They don’t fit particularly well, and I’m sure I look very average, but right now it’s all I can afford...

MardAsSnails · 16/03/2018 06:16

I do this. I always wear very casual stuff, so there's one shop that just fits. They do the odd dress for evening wear,

Pluses for doing this for me: I'm a size 18 and I know if can go in and pick something off the shelf and it fits. Even places like m&s or next are awkward because of the different cut of the styles. It's reasonably priced. And it's right at the entrance of the shopping mall near the car park I use.

You sound like Bridget Jones's mum.

I bought almost all my clothes from topshop for ten years, until last year, when their fabric choice went abruptly downhill. I have old Topshop clothes that are blends of natural fibres with a percentage of acrylic/polyester, but now they’re 100% polyester and they fall apart in a way they never did before. For years, they were the only shop where the shape of the clothes fitted my shape (Zara et al do not), the fabric was decent enough, and I could afford it. Now I have to go up a price level and I just can’t afford to spend an extra £20/30 on each item I buy, so I have massively reduced my shopping and mostly buy in the sales from whistles and And Other Stories now. I can’t afford their full price items.

I'm the same MaryLennoxsScowl, Zara clothes just don't suit me however much I like them! Yes topshop really have gone downhill, I've been so disappointed with stuff from there recently, especially as the prices have rocketed

I have a Jack Wills jacquard mini skirt which was expensive even in the sale & very good quality, I may be getting skirts from there in future..,

I buy nearly everything from one online shop. A mixture of loathing shopping, finding it convenient (credit card details saved so checkout takes seconds) and not really caring all that much about the finer details of dress ;)

EatSleepRantRepeat · 16/03/2018 09:23

I do this, mainly because dress shapes etc tend to be cut to the same pattern in their factory but with different fabrics, so makes it easier to tell if it will fit.

Totally agree on Oasis youcallthatgreen - I bought everything from there for a time, but now the fabrics have gone crap and everything seems to be the same palette of bird patterns/massive florals/tiny tiny leather or denim jackets.

My current go-to is Dorothy Perkins- they always stock the bigger sizes, suit my smaller budget and wash reasonably well. I get sick of Oasis and Topshop stores having no 14s and 16s & saying I should order them online...!

I am on a lot of children's clothes Facebook groups. I find it odd that some people dress their children entirely in one brand when there are so many lovely choices. Also some brands have a very particular look (e.g. maxomorra, molo) and so it is all a bit samey.

Our friends seem to buy everything from Superdry - the whole family. It makes us Smile as we are the ones least likely to wear anything with a logo/trend. I shop wherever I can find anything that fits my odd top-heavy shape, usually a mix of sainsburys/next/white stuff etc etc, dh wears whatever is bought for him as he hates shopping and dd wants comfy , doesn't care about brand.
