What's the name of this haircut?

These pictures don't quite capture it - I'm thinking of something shorter all round but with long feathered bits at the side, back and fringe.

I'd like this cut myself but would like to be able to find some better images to show my hairdresser.

I love that hair cut. I always wanted it when I was young but didn't know what it was called or how to describe it either. At least these days you can print a picture off the internet and show it to the hairdresser.

I would call it post-skinhead. But having lost that cultural reference these days it looks like fairy hair. I'm posting to see the picture.

Feather cut. I knew a whippet thin girl in junior school who could carry it off . That was about 1976.
