Dry shampoo

I'm after a dry shampoo that doesn't leave that white residue. I've tried lots that claim not but but they have all had the residue. Or if there is one without it it doesn't seem to do anything but make it look worse. Don't really want to be paying loads and need to be able to get it from high street.

Thanks.

I use the batiste range, and especially like the Brilliant Blonde version...I haven't noticed any white in my hair but maybe being fair it doesn't show?

I do spray from quite far away and then floof it on through, while holding head upside down

MsHomeSlice · 10/03/2018 14:04

ooh, and our lidl have it on offer atm the biggish cans for £1.49....it's at least £3 in tesco

DextroDependant · 10/03/2018 14:26

I like the batiste range too, it goes on white at first but I just rough it up a bit with my fingers and it seems fine after that.

Nkhutch · 10/03/2018 14:44

Basitille do coloured dry shampoo for blonde hair and different shades of brown! Swear by it x

I've been pleasantly surprised by the Aldi Lacura dry shampoo.

Cheap as chips and does a really good job of refreshing my fringe. It needs to be sprayed in bursts to avoid the whiteness though.

FuckingHateRain · 10/03/2018 15:10

Tried quite a few and they all leave a slimy feeling on my hair. Best for me with no white stuff behind is from Lush

MistyMeena · 10/03/2018 15:19

Lidl own brand is the best I've tried, much better than Batiste.

Gillybobs · 10/03/2018 15:40

I really don't like batiste, I think the smell is overwhelming and it leaves a caste on your hair. Best product out there is Klorane dry shampoo, a few quid more but so worth it.

Bloomed · 10/03/2018 15:41

Apparently colab dry shampoo doesn't leave residue but I've never used it.

PNGirl · 10/03/2018 15:57

I like Colab, but the best I have tried is Wilko own brand. You do need to rub it in though.

mylurcheristhebest · 10/03/2018 16:05

I use Bastiste too and haven't had any residue

CointreauVersial · 10/03/2018 17:26

I use the Batiste Brunette version. It goes on brown, so you can't see it!

Horsemad · 10/03/2018 17:45

I like Toni & Guy but it does make my hair a bit bouffant Hmm maybe I'm not doing it right?

cessie322 · 10/03/2018 18:18

I'm using batiste again after trying the Morrocan Oil one. I didn't think the MO was worth the money so went back to batiste but now I see the difference. The batiste one is leaving it very dry and fuzzy and I feel like there's a residue. Also I'm convinced it makes my hair fall out, there's clumps coming out in the shower since I started using it again. My hair still felt soft and clean using the MO one. It's the brunette batiste one I'm using. So it's back to the MO oil one for me even though I paid €20 for it or I may try one of the others mentioned above.

Tresemme

Italianmeringuebuttercream · 10/03/2018 19:24

I tried batiste but wasn't sure I liked it. My hairdresser recommended Sebastian dry shampoo. It's pricy but definitely much better to batiste and it lasts ages.

BobLoblawLawBlog · 10/03/2018 20:53

I find Co Lab to be the best. You can get it in boots for around £3. Batiste is very powdery and leaves residue- also seems to make my hair very dull. The Co Lab doesn't do that. I like the smell of the one with unicorns on the bottle.

creamcheeseandlox · 10/03/2018 21:35

Will look into these. Thanks.

Aussie Miracle kiwi one, no white residue and smells nice but not too strong .
