Help with the hair on my chinny chin chin

Maybe it's the bright spring morning or the fact that I was 46 last week but I noticed this morning I seem to have developed a layer of downy fuzz on my chin Confused
I'm quite fair so hopefully it's not that noticeable (yet)
Please give me your best tips for hair removal - will it get any worse and do I need to invest in a bic razor?!

Not epilator but twizzly stick thing (bought on MN recommendation)
Can't think why these are not generally available in Boots etc.
Very simple, a metal spring with two handles. Catches hairs and tweezes them out before you've had time to notice the (slight) pain.
No batteries. www.ebay.co.uk/p/2pcs-Face-Facial-Hair-Spring-Remover-Stick-Epilator-Threading-Beauty-Tool-D6/579622656?iid=222727625739&_trkparms=aid%3D555018%26algo%3DPL.SIM%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D43781%26meid%3D7fd7b3405ee7468dbfe618f159ce1708%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D152906259758%26itm%3D222727625739&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851

I've got that epistick. I used it a few times, but find it painful. I don't want to pull out all the very fine hair, just those corking wiry ones.

AnnPerkins · 09/03/2018 09:41

I find the epistick doesn't work on the wiry ones. You need tweezers for them. It's good for interim de-moustachings between waxes though.

I cannot get on with the Epistick at all, I much prefer using my epilator on my moustache and tweezers on my chin hairs 😳

Try a Shiseido facial razor. I was very hesitant at first as I thought that I might end up with stubble 😱 but several months later, I only need to use a razor once a week, and the regrow is still the same peach fuzz. Really life changing to not have lots of white fuzz on my face anymore. I usually buy mine from Amazon.

I got the epistick thing stuck to my face. It was so painful I couldn't bear to pull it off and had to do some creative snipping with nail scissors.

FreeNiki · 09/03/2018 21:13

I've had black wiry hair on my chin since I was 16.

Pcos.

Shrugs. It is no big deal as I've had it so long.

Ive also been dealing with this since my teens. My hair is too light for laser sadly but i found a solution to the spots/bumps from plucking. Vaniqa is for course (how do u spell it, coarse..?) hair but seems to do nothing for the fluffy hairs. Its £75 or something awful like that for a small tube but i only use the tiniest amount on my chin. I do it after threading and twice daily and it stings after hair removal but at least you know its going in! No red bumps at all since!!

Badumdumdum · 09/03/2018 23:26

Electrolysis is bloody brilliant. I have tons of dark chin hairs and pluck daily. Am going to get electrolysis done on them again soon. I last had it about 8 years ago and it was wonderful.

I use a rechargeable cordless epilator. Brilliant for everywhere including face, it hurts the first time but gets better.
