I’m a size 26 (working on that but it’s not instant!) or 24 if stretchy jeans etc

I want skinny jeans/jeggings that are tight all the way down including at the ankle, I hate when they flap about!

I have a big tummy and small boobs which looks crap so tight tops look horrendous

I want some long tops to cover the tummy apron

I just want to feel ok about myself!

Any help would be hugely appreciated

My tummy is also bigger than my boobs (lucky us!). I like tops that have a bit of gathering on or under the bust - not too much, just enough for things to skim, otherwise it can get a bit tent-like Grin I don't like fussy or flared sleeves or ruffles anywhere, I think it all just adds width, and I really don't need that. I also prefer either plain colours or a medium/large print. I'm tall and tiny prints just don't work.

The website you linked to isn't one I know, but could you link to specific items that have caught your eye?

What are your thoughts on www.yoursclothing.co.uk/navy-pink-floral-poppy-jersey-top-with-angel-sleeves-p

Any favourite/hated colours?

Hi Lego

Personally I don't think that skin tight jeans/jeggings are very flattering if you've got a big tummy - and I speak personally! I carry all my weight round my middle and look like a barrel on sticks - I think that skinny jeans only exacerbate that. It's the parsnip look I hate, skinny at the ankle and then increasing as you go up to big belly . I know they are not mainstream trendy but I love flares - not the dreaded boot leg, which is so fuddy duddy but proper flares. I think they balance out a big bum/tummy fat better than the ubiquitous skinny jean, but appreciate that most people probably don't agree with me. But think they look great in a dark denim with boho style top.

However I've noticed that Asda dona good and very affordable range of skinny jeans / jeggings and they offer them in larger sizes too.

Talking of tops I think that empire line is really flattering, particularly if you've got small boobs and big tummy. The fabric just skims your middle and highlights the boobs. White Stuff do a lot of tops in that kind of style, but I also think that a boyfriend style shirt (Gap do loads of nice linen ones) over a pretty camisole is a flattering option over a bigger than desirable mid section!

Or how about this? See-here; www.gap.co.uk/browse/product.do?pcid=5058&vid=1&pid=000317849001&searchText=Linen+shirt

Or this:

Monsoon also do a nice range of boho style tops which are v flattering. . This is very pretty and comes in white or purple; http://uk.monsoon.co.uk/view/product/ukcatalog/monn_1.3/4437560208

Anyway hope this some of this is helpful! And whatever your size you will feel and look so much better if you wear nice flattering clothes

Thanks for your reply’s

I like skinny jeans tbh, they make me feel confident and I think I look pretty ok in them when I wear a longish top! It’s just super annoying when they don’t cling to the ankle.

I like either plain dark colours (grey, navy, black) or bright colours (pink, orange, blue) I don’t tend to go for soft lilacs etc.

I like knitwear, shirts, tunic tops and longline tops

I don’t really like empire as it just makes me look pregnant!

Thanks all

I think from your description you are an apple shape so have probably got good legs. I think if you can see the jeans instore before ordering yiu can gauge the thickness of the denim. Its better to go for a thicker fabric as it won’t cling to any lumps and bumps.
I like the look of these tops.

I would avoid angel sleeves that are elbow length as they will emphasise your widest point.
