Keeping the classics

I have lost weight this year and back into size that I was in my early 30s. It has been lovely picking up a few new dresses and outfits but my wardrobe is full. Do I ditch the larger clothing or do I keep in case I get bigger again? I feel guilty about it (as some of it was expensive)

The stuff may have been expensive to buy but the money has been spent. By keeping it it's like saying you expect to,put the weight back on.

Personally I would donate the lot to charity and start over, you may find your style has changed completely now anyway. Well done on the weight loss btw

I lost weight 5 years ago, going from a size 12 to a size 6/8.
I don’t have a lot of space and got rid. If my new clothes ever feel a little snug, I use it as I sign I need to be mindful of my eating once again.

I think you are right if I keep them I have not changed forever anyway. I'm going to sort and ditch

Maybe you could have some things altered to fit your new shape, if there are any particular items you still really like. Well done on your weight loss!!

Well done on the weight loss. I would not keep them, you do not need that safety net. I got rid of all my 'big' clohes and recently put a few pounds on - did not have much to wear then, but it gave me the incentive to get the few pounds off before they brought along a couple of stones.

I'm with others. You've done well to loose weight and so long as this is the weight you want to stay, get rid of everything that doesn't fit. It's a good incentive to keep where you are.

If there are things you really like you could try your sewing skills at taking things in? Nothing to loose if it doesn't work.

Personally I'd sell each item that's too big on eBay and then replace it with one in your size.

going against the grain, I would say keep them, you never know if you might gain weight, or your body shape changes. Also sometime you want oversized things, so don't throw away everything.

And you can get them altered too, no?
