Wedding dress confusion.

Wedding is in September . I bought a nice dress last year in a sale (£800 ) and it's obviously too late to return it.
Five months on I have changed my mind about the dress. I wanted a pretty quite informal dress but now I want a more "stunning" dress to wow him when I come down the aisle.I have no idea what this stunning dress looks like though.
Totally confused about what I like and thinking perhaps it's just the change of season or watching too much Love at First Sight.
I was going to post in Wedding but I had to stop looking there as people kept posting lovely dresses.
How can I sort my indecision preferably before September).
Friends are rubbish...they say everything looks nice just in case it's the one I pick.

Can you eBay the first one and then buy the stunning one off the rack? Figure out the basic silhouette you want and then go on Pinterest or Google to get an idea of what’s out there.

If you can afford it I guess go shopping again, and sell the one you’ve already bought. As it’s unworn and was less than rrp you might get a decent chunk of what you spent back.

Go to a proper wedding dress shop and try some on, it’s the only way to reallt know what you like. They advise 8 months min to get a dress made so you’ve just got time if you go now. Have a think about what you can afford though, prices do vary a lot.

I had my wedding dress made by a local seamstress, it was a copy of a designer dress but was fairly simple. My friend had her wedding dress made by a textiles student, again a designer copy. Could save you ££££ if you find something you love.
And yes eBay the other one.
Unless you're just having a wobble and the dress is good?!

I agree, go wedding dress shopping, try on loads of dresses.
If you find something you love then buy it and put the original dress on eBay.

Presume you can get some but not all of your money back if you eBay it. If so can you afford a different dress. If you can, go to some boutiques and see if any of the dresses feel like the one. It may be that you discover that you prefer your simple understated dress after all!

The dress I got married in was completely different to the one in my mind and complete opposite to my usual style. But it made me feel special as soon as I put it on. So sometimes, outside of your comfort zone can work.

I’ve just chosen and placed a deposit down on my wedding dress and it’s totallky different to what I thought I wanted. In fact when I tried on the dress of my dreams I couldn’t wait to take it off - I was so uncomfortable and hated it.

I’d suggest going into a bridal shop and trying dresses on.
