I’ve lost 4 stone in last year but only gone down a bra size so think I’m not trying on correct sizes
I’m a size 14 if that helps
Under bust measures 36 or 34 if pulled very tight
Fullest part of bust measures 42 stood up or 44 bent over which some size guides advise
I’m 53 but boobs not sagging yet although I often find trouble with bigger cup sizes as the fullness is nearer the band and higher up on boob I often leave a gap and could pleat the material if you see what I mean
I’m not near a bravissimo either

The round the body measure should be firmly round, but obviously not tight tight, so 34 and bent over Measure = GG

Have a little read of this website

I personally would recommend going to Bravisimo (you may need to make an appointment rather than just turn up) but they know what they are doing and will help you find the style of bra for you.

Nearest bravissimo is over an hour by train
Any recommendations for brands I can look for in debenhams or house of Fraser
I know everyone says to avoid M n S bra fitting

Debenhaks have their own brand and others that are larger, I'd go and try on a few, there is a great thread on here somewhere about bra intervention loads of advice. Best to try on lots of different types and not just one particular size.

Bravissimo you can order online and return very easily, might be worth getting measured at debehams, then go on bravissimo website and follow their advice too and order a variety of bras, Just return what you don't want! X

I’d have a day trip to Bravissimo town if I were you and you are able to. I had to do similar but the help and advice that they gave me was well worth it. Plus I only bought one bra then bought several more in my new size from eBay on the train home Blush

The way to test the band is to try it on back to front. that way the cups don't interfere with anything, and it shouldn't be able to pull very far from the body when you ping it.

The problem can be that the cups interfere with the band by stealing material making the band feel tight, when it is in fact the cups are too small.

I would say - it would deffo be worth a trip to bravisimo so they can guide you in person. Anywhere else is a bit hit and miss. Although folk do say John Lewis is reliable as well.- so if there is one of those near you?
