Broken blood vessels on upper chest. Anyone?

I have numerous red broken blood vessels on my upper chest. They appeared or rather I noticed them after I had my third child (six years ago now) I don’t know if they’re caused by pregnancy? Sun damage? Alcohol?
Any tips please? No signs of them going on their own

Or is it just an inevitable age thing? Late forties now Grin

Laser/IPL only solution but might recur.

Me too, after having my first child. I was told by my GP it was due to hormones. Still there 15 years later (little buggers) but may have faded slightly, unless I've just got used to them.

I had laser treatment on my face for broken veins and it worked perfectly... and then they came back because I have the sort of skin that just does that. However, on your chest I can't think where the "trauma" might be from (mine is from blowing my nose mostly!)

See a specialist and ask. Consultation is free, at least mine was.

Ps I was 25 when I got them so not age related for me. If you keep getting more it can be due to issues with the liver apparently

This type of ‘rosacea’ can become more evident coming up to the menopause. Mine certainly has at the age of 54. I think it must be partially hormone related and sun damage certainly doesn’t help. Apparently fair skin is also more prone to redness.
I’ve just had mine treated with Ipl. I did need to pay for a consultation first though. I’ve had one treatment and will need another 1-2 more.

teta - how much did it cost if you don't mind me asking?

teta · 25/02/2018 12:29

No problem.
Arround £280 per session.I have been told I will need 3 sessions 3-4 weeks apart.
