For Blonde Hair

Olia is lovely for blonde IMO - doesn't feel damaging and the ash blonde shades come out nice and cool, not gingery or greeny like other brands can do (looking at you, nice n easy)

yes not nice n easy - just done mine with a cool ash shade. It's orange :/ had to splather myself in purple shampoo on dry hair all this week to get it looking semi decent.

FoofFighter · 23/02/2018 17:53

Usually use Excellence, forgot to add - never a problem with it but got a cheap nice n easy instead this time as they have repackaged and Superdrug are selling the old ones off .

mrsfuzzyboots · 23/02/2018 17:53

Superdrug colour performance- seriously! It’s made by P&G who also make Wella professional and according to a hair dresser friend of mine is the closest she’s found to professional colour. It also gets bonus points for being guaranteed cruelty free.

Olia I’ve always found crap for covering greys, I only have a few but it didn’t get a single one. A bit like a complicated hair treatment (it did leave my hair shiny).

PookieSnackenberger · 23/02/2018 18:12

Another one saying no to Nice and Easy. I ruined my hair with a shade that came out almost black. Still stripping and growing it out.

Buying professional colour such as Majirel or Schwarzkopf online is probably cheaper and better in the long run as you can mix tiny amounts to touch up roots. I use Garnier Nutrisse if I run out and need a colour quickly - leaves my hair in good condition and takes well. Beware the colours being darker than pictured though.

FlowerPotMum · 23/02/2018 18:18

The ash toned Olia ones are lovely. They seem to make my hair really shiny and soft. I've just used a swarftzkoft (??) cool lilac one which has left my hair a beautiful pale rose -gold colour.
Nice and easy make my hair like straw and look 'flat'.

Any others? Thanks for replies so far

Yeah the nutrisse one with Holly willoughby on the box is good too! Also the Schwarzkopf colour expert medium blondes are nice, i use that for lowlights sometimes

Umakemefeellikedancing · 23/02/2018 21:07

Thanks. Going to buy one this weekend I think.

Stay away from nice n easy unless you want black hair! That's how I found out that the Elvira look doesn't work on me.

TheBlob · 23/02/2018 21:11

Polycolour Tint are great, natural looking and cheap at Wilkos

youvegottobekidding · 24/02/2018 12:24

I really like the Schwarzkopf Poly Colour tint, however I colour my hair brown - the only thing is with this brand is the very limited range in shades, think there is only 2 blonde shades. But the browns I've tried have been marvellous- really natural looking colour, no reddish tones (unless you choose the warm brown that is) brilliant at covering my very stubborn roots & dirt cheap. No conditioner included but it's no biggie. And I've just seen TheBlob has recommended this too!!

Watching with interest.
