false eyelash extensions

I have my eyelashes tinted and the beautician said why not try some flash lashes - like extensions ie not a full set - but weaved into your existing lashes. Too much for middle aged professional or transforming? Anyone tried?

False not flash!

I love mine and I an a 32yo accountant. I feel like a mole without them.

I have lash extensions and I’m in a professional job and not at all glamorous. A good beautician will make them look natural. I love them because once I have them on I can go out with any makeup on!

The problem is they are very time consuming. Need touching up every 2 weeks so I save for special occasions.

I've had a full set of medium length ones before. They were nice for every day, but then when I wanted to put mascara on, they were a real pain to remove the mascara from without causing damage. And after removal my real eyelashes felt SO stubby and small. Definitely worth a go, even if only once!

I live in south east London and she quoted £40 does that sound about right?

I pay £45 for mine. I'm hundreds of miles from London so that's cheap. They last about 2 weeks. I only really love them when I first get them done then they drive me mad. Great for a holiday or special occasion though.

whereiscaroline · 22/02/2018 20:35

I paid £30 for mine, Midlands.

Am going away with girlfriends I only see once a year. Have been looking frumpy so I think you've all convinced me its worth a shot. Thank you x

get them!

AmIAWeed · 22/02/2018 21:10

Usually a full set is more than the infills. I paid £45 for a full set and pay £21 every 2 weeks to fill them in. I hate not having mine, eyebrows are microbladed and I really only need a splash of blusher and lipbalm and I am good to go

catsmother · 22/02/2018 21:16

£40 sounds cheap ... a full set in local salons here is almost £60! I've found mine last for a good 4 weeks though, the last few lashes drop can linger up to 6 weeks. I love them, they really open up your eyes without looking ridiculous and you don't need mascara at all.

youvegottobekidding · 24/02/2018 12:32

I'm going away this year & thinking of getting these for the first time, I was thinking of getting them about a week or so before I go away? I think my local salon charges about £25 I've never had anything done to my lashes before & I am totally useless at trying to put on fake eyelashes so thought this would be a much better option. So you don't need mascara on with them? I wouldn't want 'drag queen' ones just natural but fuller & darker ones. I may push the boat out & get my brows done as well, although I have one brow that's slightly higher than the other, I have to put on a quizzical look for every photo 😂

falang · 25/02/2018 08:55

I think £25 would be for the ones that are very temporary. They are called party lashes round here. No you won't need mascara. You'll need to be very careful when removing eye make up and not use anything oily near them.
