Mine are the black ones with big jewel,Dp's are the others.

Go on-opinions please-do I keep them or take them back even though they were a present?

They are quite "bling-y".
Might be tempted to take them back and use that money for a cheaper pair and then spend the rest on other treats, such as facial/haircut/clothes etc.
There are always loads of flip flops in the shops in the summer, I got a lovely pair last year by Moontide (oz swimwear range) with a fabric flower at the front, pretty and glam and only £25...

Whoooosh · 03/05/2007 11:30

Mmmm-they are a bit bling

Did your DP buy the sandal ones too (bit confused)? Does he have a shoe fetish?!

bozza · 03/05/2007 11:36

DP is a she. If you like them and they were a present go for it. I wouldn't spend that money myself but that is because I am tight.

Nbg · 03/05/2007 11:36

They are lovely!

MamaG · 03/05/2007 11:37

is your DP a woman whoosh? The bottom flips look quite girly to me. I'm not taking hte piss, its a genuine question.

I DO like the tope ones, but I could not justify £125, you could get 4 or 5 pairs for that! [cheapskate emoticon]

ThomCat · 03/05/2007 11:37

Hi Whoooosh - sorry, don't like your ones at all. DP's are better.

MamaG · 03/05/2007 11:38

Ah bozza answered.

Thing is, I know I couldn't afford all that money for one pair of shoes, but if you can, then if you like them, why not keep em?

I don't really like the bottom ones though, but the top ones are great.

Pannacotta · 03/05/2007 11:40

Ah I see! I prefer your flip flops to the sandals.
Of course if you like them keep them, I too would find it hard to justify that much money on flip flops even as a pressie, but have to admit I did spend almost £300 on a pair of R and Bromley suede boots (!) so am a hypocrite! It did take me 6 months to get round to buying them though but I don't regret it as they are so comfy and gorgeous!
All depends on how much you like them and will wear them...

SherlockLGJ · 03/05/2007 11:40

LGJ adjusts her sunglasses.

Blingy sums them up I am afraid.

Whoooosh · 03/05/2007 11:40

Yes Dp is a she(the thought of a bloke in them really made me laugh)-sorry,should have made it clearer.

I am really having second thoughts about mine now so am very interested in your views.

I would never spend that sort of money on shoes which is why they were a present-I am quite happy with the £15 pair I bought in Tesco at the weekend.

OP posts:
nailpolish · 03/05/2007 11:41

i like both

keep both

MamaG · 03/05/2007 11:42

yes but whoosh can you AFFORD them?
is keeping them going to make a serious dent in your finances?

if not, keep them

Nbg · 03/05/2007 11:43

I like yours to look at Whooosh but I personally prefer your dps.

She has good taste!

oliveoil · 03/05/2007 11:43

I don't like either of them tbh

would the person that bought them expect to see you in them?

if not, take them back

MamaG · 03/05/2007 11:44
Pannacotta · 03/05/2007 11:45

How do they look on your feet? Look bling in photo but do they look less so when worn.
Still think its a bit much for flip flops (would worry less if they were proper shoes) but it is your decision at the end of the day...

Gobbledigook · 03/05/2007 11:45

I don't like either but if you do, and they were a gift, keep them!

ThomCat · 03/05/2007 11:46

Well I'm not overly keen on DP's but prefer them to yours.
I really don't liek your ones mate, sozza.
And they don't look like they cost £125 either.
Take em back and get 5 paiors that you'll wear witht eh same money, or buy a pair of beautiful expensive ones that are classics and will last and last.

lucykate · 03/05/2007 11:46

if you like them and your dp can afford to spend that much, keep them

Whoooosh · 03/05/2007 11:47

Oh yes Oliveoil-DP and I have lived together for 13yrs and I suspect she may notice if I didn't wear them-mind you they are hardly "every day wear"

Nbg-she has way better taste than me when it comes to clothes and especially shoes.

Just imagining what else I could buy if I took them back.

Reckon she would be fine about it-after all,am sure many of us have bought something, taken it home and then decided we don't like it after all?

OP posts:
CuriousSquid · 03/05/2007 11:47

take them back - whoever bought them for you was robbed.

oliveoil · 03/05/2007 11:47

ahhhh, I didn't know dp bought them

will she take the huff?

oliveoil · 03/05/2007 11:48

where are they from, I can't read the label

Whoooosh · 03/05/2007 11:49

No-am sure she wouldn't as she doesn't really like them-not her thing at all-it was just me getting carried away in Russell and Bromley.
