I have, probably mistakenly, treated myself to a lovely pair of black ballet pumps from Tory Burch (My first trip to Bicester...)
I have been wearing them all day around the house (cos I LOVE them) and popped up the road in them even though it was freezing - and they began to rub the back of my heel. Really painful and I will need a blooming blister plaster on my heel for days now.
BUT more importanly - what can I do to prevent this happening when I want to start wearing them properly in a few weeks time when it WILL be Spring
?
Do i keep wearing them around the house and hope they 'break in'?
Or are there miracle invisible socks I can try beneath them?
I know from past experience that anything like a traditional pop sock fabric, even if cut down so it doesn't look ghastly peeping out the sides, will still make them rub through the thin nylon.
I have just googled and found this
butterflytwists.com/products/cushioned-heeled-sock-black?fo_c=1065&fo_k=52d642f63eb68ae75c7220140737aead&fo_s=gplauk&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI9rKm3-m32QIV77vtCh0WrQfZEAQYBCABEgISo_D_BwE&variant=324066050061
Has anyone tried these and might it work, do you think?
The pumps I've got are fairly low cut but not the lowest I've ever seen if that makes sense. That said, they are certainly not a high cut.
I'm regretting buying them now but they are SO beautiful and were half price and I want to channel Audrey Hepburn in them with black cigarette pants and a black cotton sweater. I don't want to be limping. I barely resemble Audrey Hepburn at the best of times and grimacing with pain won't help my cause.
