I'd really like a moisturiser which fits the following criteria:

  • fragrance free
  • properly hydrating without being greasy
  • makes skin feel comforted & look a bit more glowy.

I'd also like it to be cruelty free if possible. I don't want much

If your moisturiser does this, please tell me which one you use! Thank you!

Majority of my face suffers with dry and dehydrated skin and I recently found my holy grail - Superdrugs own brand Vitamin E brand. Doesn't leave it greasy or cause me to break out and makes a massive difference to how my skin looks and feels. I do have to use it on only certain areas though as my skin is combination.

I love Boots No7 youthful oil and the day and night cream

This is cheap enough to try, works brilliantly for me.

Thank you all! Lots of things to look into!

I am quite annoyed at the moment because I just spent £20 on a moisturiser and it seems to be doing precisely nothing. (It's this one.) Mind you, it's only been about 3 days so perhaps I haven't given it long enough? (I am quite impatient!)

You should be able to tell by the texture of your skin straight away, it should have a slightly tacky feel to it to be full hydrated & moisturiser. Should take 'days' to take effect.

DS has eczema. When we try emollients on his skin I tend to use the ones he doesn't get on with as moisturisers. They are cheap as chips, not fragranced, and work better than most cometic moisturisers IMHO. So if I was you I'd try things like E45 (like old fashioned cold cream but also available as a lotion, I use it all over my body and it makes my arms in particular feel amazing), Aveeno (this gets a lot of love, we've never tried it on DS), Dermal500, Epiderm, Diprobase, Oilatum etc.
