I used a cheap stripper(not my usual colourb4) on my faded out light browny/red, took my hair to a kinda strawberry blonde.

Put a semi medium ash blonde on a few days later and its gone dark reddy brown Sad

It feels and looks in good condition still so am going to colourb4 it again, but then what? I want a medium ash blondey colour, natural colours a darkish golden blonde and grey

I've done this several times. Use the colour before again extra strength. You will get an orange colour. Leave it for a week if you can bear it then put a very light ash blonde permanent colour on.
Try to section the hair off starting at the back when you remove the colour as this ensures you get a good even result of colour removal.

Thanks! Im worried that the last twice the ash has seemingly made my hair even darker and redder(see pic) so will a light ash just leave me orange. Ah feck, might just go grey instead Grin

Ime, whenever I've used colour B4, it tends to re-oxidise over the next couple of days, meaning it goes dark again - whatever you do don't use a permanent colour for at least a 3 - 4 weeks after using colour b4 as it will go dark.

What I did to get it back to the shade where the colour stripper left it was do the Vitamin C method - vitamin C effervescent tablets, crushed & mixed with clarifying shampoo - google it. Your hair should be left at the same stage the colour stripper left it at. From there you can apply a semi colour - but pick a shade at least 2 shades lighter than you want or even just go for a level 1, 8 wash dye just to tone down the brassiness.

Light ash will blend the colour better. Less orange. As I said leave it at least a week before using a permanent colour. It reoxidises because you've either not followed the colour b4 to the letter or used permanent colour too soon. Use a colour a couple of shades lighter.
I've done this several times. Also used to be a Hairdresser so have an idea what I'm doing. My natural colour was dark brown but I'm growing out my grey now.

The medium ash blonde will make your hair look darker.
