I've only ever had my eyebrows threaded, during which my eyes water like mad and I've found the process to be quite painful. Also I've struggled to find anyone who does a good job round my way, I've tried many places and I haven't been completely happy with any of them.
Anyway I recently started having my nails done at a different beauty salon due to unforeseen circumstances/ issues with the previous place.
The new place is wonderful, can't fault it at all, and the staff are the nicest people I've ever had my nails done by. I was talking to the lady about my eyebrows, and she convinced me to have them waxed (they only do waxing). I'd never had it done and always said I never would. But I agreed to try it.
It was the best thing I've ever done. Much less pain, no watering streaming eyes, so much quicker. Safe to say I was shell shocked by the experience. So now my lovely nail lady has come my eyebrow lady as well.
However there's one issue that I've always had, even after threading. The red bumps around my eyebrows after it. I think I'm right to assume that's normal? But I wondered what I can do to help the problem? For instance can I put aloe Vera gel on it (similar to what the lady used in the salon) to help reduce redness and inflammation? And is it something that is likely to reduce with time (ie the more I have it done the less it will happen as my skin gets used to it)?
I don't think it's a reaction to the wax as it used to happen with threading as well.
(Due to how much threading hurt me I stretched having them done out as long as possible, so I don't think my skin ever got used to it.
I'm definitely sticking to having them waxed. The last lady who threaded them made them look awful, so they're still a work in progress to get the perfect shape/ arch. But overall I'm happy. I just hate the red bumps).
I'm going to ask at my next infill appointment, but I wondered if you helpful lot could offer any advice in the meantime. Thanks so much
