Help! What age does my skin look..?

Hi. Had a close up slightly magnified (poss uv light?!) close up pic. I was horrified at the state of my skin. I had make up on and none of this was visible before light on it.

How old would you say I was...

La Roche murders my skin.

Go on Yesstyle and use moisturising Korean products.
People get so used to using skincare for oily skin/ spots in their teens and 20s that it’s killing / drying out their older skin.

Moisture moisture moisture

Yes everyone prob does have sun damage but Thats no reason not to take it seriously? It's an unusual image so I would have it checked out.

retainertrainer · 07/02/2018 08:04

Well no one is looking at you with magnified/uv vision so don’t worry about it. In the second pic you look great, certainly not in your 50’s.

Scabbersley · 07/02/2018 08:08

Have you got a black eye?? Otherwise I can't tell what condition your skin is in.

Scabbersley · 07/02/2018 08:09

Early forties in the second oic

SukiTheDog · 07/02/2018 10:47

I thought you had a black eye. You look mid 30’s to me so, pretty spot on. Thing is, no one walked about with a UV light on them. What you see day to day is how you look. I hate being in a hotel with one of those big magnifying mirrors with the halo light. Everything looks scary but no one is seeing me close up and magnified every day.

Give yourself a break.

Wtfdoicare · 07/02/2018 11:02

Can I derail slightly and ask about your eyelashes? They're lovely and long. Is it mascara?

Oohyoudevilyou · 07/02/2018 11:38

You look early to mid 30's in the 2nd pic. The first one is terrible and just looks like one of those photo's of bruising that people keep as evidence of domestic violence: Delete it (unless you are keeping it as evidence of DV...?)

Thanks for all your replies.

I guess I'm just shocked at the state of my skin. Yes, I know it looks normal without the uv light (plus heaps of make up). I over used the sun beds in the past (15 mins a day 4/5 times a week for two years). So I'm worried it may be something more sinister.

Oh and to the poster that asked- My eyelashes are extensions. Hence the close up pic that the beautician used for her instagram page!

It's never a bad idea to have regular skin check ups, especially if you've done sun beds in the past (I did in my 20s so am not judging). I'm very conscious of the damage I've done so am trying very hard to treat my skin well now.

lina38 · 07/02/2018 19:02

Thank you mini. You are very wise. Where would I go about a check up? Is it free?

Any good dermatologist would be able to tell you what to do and look at your skin under a UV lamp and advise on future proofing.
