I've glad you've changed your name. You were never a tart.

MrsBadger · 30/04/2007 08:47

oh, sounds like you need Ghost... something long and slinky and slightly floaty

catnip · 30/04/2007 09:39

Yes, I second Ghost, they don't look much on the hanger but are beautifully cut.

JackieNo · 30/04/2007 09:41

Can you not get the one you linked to on your blog? That was lovely.

(and what sort of budget do you have?)

JackieNo · 30/04/2007 09:49

You were right about Ghost - not sure it's the right size though.

JackieNo · 30/04/2007 09:54

Something with a neckline like this one could be good.

JackieNo · 30/04/2007 09:57

This is beautiful too.

MrsBadger · 30/04/2007 10:00

a cowl neckline thus can work wonders on lesser norks.

Most bridal shops do a 'slinky' range these days - it's worth going to a couple and just trying things on for ideas (If you're in London Liberty is fantastic for this type of wedding dress)

TinyGang · 30/04/2007 10:16

Congratulations! I love wedding dresses. Sounds like you have a fabulous figure. This maybe?

MrsBadger · 30/04/2007 10:21

noooooo - those under-bust seams v bad for the norkless
better
also good

i love the one MrsB linked "also good"

cowl necks are very elegant imo

and the monsoon stuff is great too (jackies link)

MrsBadger · 30/04/2007 10:53

better pics of that one here - the front is even nicer than I thought it would be.

Have you broadish athleticy shoudlers or slim delicate ones?

JackieNo · 30/04/2007 10:53

Amanda - the one in your blog is the Siena one at the top here isn't it? It is gorgeous.

MrsBadger · 30/04/2007 10:54

even if it's in March, if it's mostly indoors in a hotel you'd be surprised how hot it can be.

nailpolish · 30/04/2007 10:57

Amanda - suffer in the name of beauty - ie buy the dress you like regardless fo whether you wil be cold or not

i dont like th e sienna one - neck too unfashionable and unflattering on anyone (IMO)

nailpolish · 30/04/2007 10:59

btw congrats on your engagement Amanda

uch its just not my cup of tea Amanda

i much prefer MrsB's cowl necks, but thats just my opinion babes!

if you like it go for it!

JackieNo · 30/04/2007 11:03

I love the neckline - fab on someone with small norks (and you're right - wouldn't need any necklace with it). But MrsBadger's right - you need to try loads on, and see what really works on you. You need to take the Cod trademarked 'blunt friend' with you for advice, too.

MrsBadger · 30/04/2007 11:04

(or a camera)

You're not American are you? (sorry - such a mad dress I couldn't resist)
