Does anyone else suffer from this?
The soles of my feet are callused and the pain and burning sensation is excruciating.
I do go to a chiropodist.
My days of high heels are over Sad
I also find flat shoes uncomfortable to wear. Is this flat feet ?
High arch?
Low arch ?

I've had this for years. Hands as well. It can be a symptom of diabetes so wise to get tested. (Peripheral neuropathy can also be a symptom of some nasties so worth a trip to the gp.) Finally, and weirdly, I've discovered that taking B12, B6 and folic acid made a huge difference to me. Far less burning, plus skin a lot softer. Feet are also no longer freezing at night.

I tried because the only test result in a battery given to me by a neurologist that was remotely off, and even then still borderline, was one that involved these vitamins. I googled, then trotted off to Holland and Barrett and started taking the standard daily dose recommended on the packet. I don't expect to reverse all the damage but relieved that there has been a significant and sustained improvement.

Something to try if the diabetes test is negative and the GP does not spot anything else.

It is a sign of diabetes, but not if its only after wearing heels.

You can try using Doublebase gel, twice a day if possible. Don't rub it in, it needs to soak in on its own. It's am excellent moisturiser for calluses.

Your feet are trying to tell you something.

If the flat shoes are making your calf muscles sore that's only temporary. Once they've stretched out it stops.
