Tshirts versus tops

I've been struggling to find flattering Tshirt a for a while now as I get older and my shape changes (middle aged spread!). It just dawned on me that maybe there becomes an age where you "outgrow" Tshirts and rather than wearing Tshirts I should now be wearing tops instead?! Tshirts are the domain of the young aren't they? Disclaimer- I know in theory I can wear what I like etc...

I kinda of get you in that I did change my holiday wardrobe and swapped t shirts for tops. I do like a t shirt under a cardigan and for layering. I like the boden swing tee, think it might be called the easy tee now, it is cut to flatter a little middle age spread.

I had the same thought. Bretons are more flattering especially the thicker ones and shirts are good.

I still search for the perfect flattering t shirt though. I have one from topshop 2010 which I wear every week and is perfect! Nothing has ever been as good.

I’m always on the look out for the perfect tee shirt. Im 57 so maybe I should give up but I love the look of a good tee shirt under a jacket. I used to have a white cotton one from Jigsaw which was perfect but I grew too big for it. Now I have a fine knit one from White Company that is loose and very flattering and about 100 others from high street shops that are rubbish! I don’t know what other tops to buy though and tee shirts are easy to iron!
