Interview outfit!

I have an interview next week for a midwife job. I am at a loss of what to wear!

I have a tea style black dress with little pink flowers on, will this be smart enough with a black blazer, tights and dolly shoes?

Or any other suggestions? I'm a size 18 with a very large chest, so nothing too matronly! I struggle to find trousers that fit right too so ideally a dress or skirt.

Or would I better wearing something like this? It's not really me but it does look comfortable and it's likely I will be asked to do some practical things during the interview.

Either sounds fine to me
I interview for nurses and don't really notice what they wear. I suppose I would if they wore inappropriately short or revealing clothes. I can't even recall if the people I interviewed wore a jacket or not but I do remember the answers they gave to the interview questions
Good luck

Thankyou, I think I'm more concerned about being comfortable. Im so nervous!

Good to know that outfits don't necessarily get noticed.

How about this - they have two colour choices - both only in 18, so you would have to be quick. The black one would go well with a black jacket.

Thankyou, it's nice but I should have stated I'm on a student budget in my op Blush

Hopefully you won't be on a student budget for long! Just wear something you feel confident in, make sure you look clean and groomed (I'm sure you would anyway) - clean, shortish filed nails, not too much make-up, have some spare tights in your bag in case of a last minute run, polished shoes and no short skirts, inappropriate necklines or too much jewellery. As Abi states, you only really remember what someone wears to interview if it is inappropriate, which is rare. Good luck.

Thanks lady. Fingers crossed!
