Size 8.5 (43) walking shoes?

Anyone know anywhere that sells them? Or possibly trainers but I have narrow heels so walking shoes are better as they usually grip a bit higher and tighter on the heel, which means they don't slither around so much (heel grip things don't really work).

I've tried Decathlon, who claim to have 120 but then the website glitches back to the front page. In store they didn't have any. I've also tried Clarks who only do trainers.

There must be other people out there with big narrow feet!

Do you mean walking, like in hillwalking? I am also a 43, but with wide feet. I find European brands narrower than US brands, I love Keen shoes, do avoid them! DH - former boot fitter - advises that Mamut are quite narrow. He also advises an insole to reduce volume.

Every outdoor shop! I’m a 44 so have no choice other than men’s. I tried a Salomon shoe in Cotswold Outdoor last week that was pretty narrow and light - can’t remember the style name but it had Kevlar toggle tie things. I’ve also had Meralls, and Northface that have been good.

But also try Regatta, Trespass etc

I’m a 42 but I just bought mens in the end as the fit wasn’t working on any others, this was at go outdoors.

salomon are quite narrow but the ladies sizes only go up to 7.5
There is another Italian brand that is narrow, maybe Scarpa?
I have narrow heels and have Merrel walking boots.
and North face Hedgehogs were so comfy

I'm a similar size and never have any problem finding a wide choice at Millets or any other outdoor shop. The kind shop assistants are probably giving me men's shoes without saying as much, but I can't tell the difference. It's party shoes that are hard to find!

Men's shoes really don't work for me - my feet are quite narrow all over and most women's shoes are too wide for me (but laces and insoles help). Men's shoes are cut even wider.

I'll try Mamut, thanks BikeRunSki. And Merrel, thanks myidentitymycrisis.

I'm a 43, and I walk in Asics trail shoes. They're running trainers, but more robust and with much more lateral support and grip. I love them! I also have narrow feet, but find that the men's ones are fine - I think it's a fairly narrow brand, as I usually hate men's shoes, I find them far too wide. But, Asics do make ladies shoes up to a 43 if your feet are even narrower than mine, and so do several other brands (I run in Mizuno, for instance).

Innov8 fellrunning Shoes arenartiw too, although they may not be robust enough for you.

Berghaus and North Face have some ladies boots that go up to a 43.

I've just bought these from GoOutdoors in a 43.
