Really hydrating serum recommendations anybody?

Can anyone recommend a serum for older, dehydrated skin? I’m using Roche Posay Hydraphase but it’s not great in terms of hydrating my dried out skin. I drink loads of water, my diet is ok and I have multivitamin, omega 3, ferrous fumerate, vit D and b12 supplements somam doing all I can but need something more than the hydraphase.

You could try Buffet or Hylamide SubQ.

I love the difference a Korean style toner made to my skin (I'd also used Hydraphase before). I chose the Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner as I have sensitive skin.

Thanks bagel. My skin is also sensitive. Will check these out.

Hylamide Sub Q smells terrible but god, is it effective.

Avene do a couple of great ones: Hydrance Optimale and Hydrance Intense. I find Avene is particularly good for sensitive skin (I am sensitive and prone to dehydration, so love these).

Vichy Aqualia hydrating serum is also very good and very popular.

Also Chanel's Hydra range is supposed to be excellent (I've not tried it as yet, it is on my list for when I have some more spare cash!)

Vichy Aqualia Thermal. Only serum I've repurchased multiple times.

Vitamin E oil from Holland & Barrett. I put 3 drops all over before bed and sleep in it. It's also sorted out my white heads.

Estée Lauder nighttime serum is excellent followed by their hydration cream.

Mogginthemog · 19/01/2018 12:07

Thanks everyone. The Estée Lauder is a no go because it made my face sting and my eyes watery otherwise that would be something I’d try. Also body shop face products are a problem. Will def look at Avene and the Vichy. I’ve not heard of hylamide! Sounds interesting. :).

Sali swears by the Vichy Aqualia and the superdrug sensitive stuff.

I spent £££ on a hylamide product but had to bin it as it smelled so horrible. Think it was a weird fake tan or something.

Mogginthemog · 19/01/2018 14:23

Trying to imagine this hylamide stuff. Sounds fearsome

Nip + Fab Dragon's Blood serum is good, very hydrating and plumps out your wrinkles a bit. Also, using the Nip+Fab acid pads (dragon's blood at night time, glycolic fix in the morning) really helped my super dry skin. I was afraid to try them for ages because my skin is super sensitive but it was fine.

I'm using Hylamide SubQ stuff as an evening moisturiser at the moment, it's not bad but I prefer my previous one, Neal's Yard Frankinsense Intense, so I'll go back to that once I've finished the Hylamide.
